Well he have achieved many things, now other times have come, he will not going to be consistent but I am hoping one or two more slam before hanging up the boots.

Nole looked lost for most of the match but this type of conspiracy isn't good. It starts here and then blows up saying Djokovic had mono or something. Let's give Nole a chance to explain if he had injury or illness and not make stuff up.

Age is certainly a factor, whether people like it or not - it affects consistency more so than pure level of play. You can come out playing like a God one day, then throw in 50+ errors the next.
Heat + humidity didn't necessarily help. Then add to that whatever physical struggles there were through the fortnight (wrist + illness).

He was able to fight through against all these factors for a while, just didn't have any of the right solutions today. These kind of bad losses happen

Ok - it’s near impossible for Novak to lose at a slam right now. But Carlos and Meddy showed it can happen.

But not like THAT.

That was not Novak.

That was not “Father Time”.

That was illness or injury or throwing the match.
Was recovering from a cold then played in gruelling heat v fritz and it just took all the energy from him. Missed opportunity for novak as he would have won the event but fot his illness.

When you are 37, more bad days creep in, he gets out of a lot of situations because of experience, but today the first two sets he Could barely move, as i said, with age there are more off days, thats all, this had to happen some time, he dominated the generation after him, but now its already 2 generations... Still, if he has the motivation he still has some titles in him

He has many titles in him. All we want to know is is he going to become Sinner's puppet

Dude H2 h dont matter in long period and I have defended Fed many time in this regard.
For example h2h between Fed and Rafa was 3-1( in favour of Rafa) in AO from 2008 to 2018 but Fed was leading with 3-1 slam ( just reverse the number in h2h)

Being honest, a lot of players would have beat him today, not just sinner, and despite the crazy form sinner is in, we cant give for granted that he is gonna keep It troughout the season and be in the later rounds of every Big event, he seems to have reached a maturity physically and mentally but even if he wins this grand slam, we would have to wait till the end of the season to really evaluate things better in my opinion

Problem with that logic is Rafa was a clay courter. He played well in few non clay slams but Fed still had Wimbledon and ATP finals for sure to go with little fight from Nadal.

Sinner is having same hunting grounds as Djokovic. He has made QF and semis at Wimbledon and his game will suit grass. He now has made AO final with loss of 1 set and that too he had MP so could have gone without losing any set here. AO and Wimby are Nole's turfs. He also defeated Nole indoors twice. He is beating Nole on his own turf now.

I don't think Novak had a good tournament. I expected improvement after the rest days and it didn't happen.

And the USO 2021 was a clear case of trying to do too much. Not so here!

Yea something was wrong. For starters, he was flat as a pancake. Just wasn't there, slow to react, not moving his feet, etc. It didn't look like injury to me. At this stage in his career, this happens where you just aren't motivated as much or getting up for matches. I remember Evert talking about that was one of the toughest things for her towards the end of her career. But have to give credit to Sinner. He went out there with a gameplan and executed it well, and didn't deter from that. He totally deserved his victory.

He lost to a better player today. You can’t win by spraying sooo many errors
Yep he has been one of most consistent players in history( contender of year end no1 from 2011 to 2023 barring 2017, only year he was not contender to finish no 1 rank player).

With his age, bad time will become more common but hoping for good end with atleast one or two slam)

As good as Novak is, he's still human and he's set a standard so ridiculously high that losing in a grand slam semi-final elicits questions of how it could of happened when in reality it happens to all the greats. He's in fantastic shape for his age but no amount of voodoo or special training can overcome the fact that his body simply isn't recovering as fast as it used to. It's just going to get harder and harder for him in these grand slams and his margins for error slimmer and slimmer.
