Elias Ymer using a blackout. Almost looks like an PA.

I think I can count 20 crosses. So should be PAVS.

Seems like it is becoming very popular on the tour.

PA VS is fabulous really, I didn't expect that at all, being a Babolat. and now I play with it, and I'm looking for a fault, but I can't find one really.

it's the only Babolat I've ever remotely liked, and it's completely different than the shovels. people say there have been good babolats with flat beams, but I've never tried them.

also Alcaraz seems to play with a stock weight 305g <320sw, I initially added full bumper lead to get it to 340sw, and it was great, but only when I took it off completely, back to 320sw I said wow, this is even better now

a total surprise..

What is Paire's situation? I see him with what seems to be a brand (finally) but I can't make out what brand.

It is a french brand named "Celio". It makes casual clothes and suits, they make sport clothes for the first time for Benoit.
If I remember well it is basically a director of the brand who saw Benoit playing and liked the guy, thinking that he acts like an average club player, so they started a "be normal" collection (y)

Thanks bro! Very informative! This satisfies my curiosity!

After watching the Ostapenko vs. Krejcikova match tonight, I see what everyone has been saying about those dayglo yellow shorts. Who knows? Maybe Jelana finds them comfortable enough and to blazes with the sponsorship money!

Kostyuk also switching to the Steam 100 mold (from an Ezone 98). The white grommets in the throat are the dead give away. She was blasting backhands against Badosa, another steam 100 user.

Pretty soon every baseline basher in the wta is going to convert after seeing the positive results of those who use it.

The blacked out wilson seems to be working for Anisimova. A lot of the wilson wta players seem to like it.

Steam 100..I had one back in the day when they were offered as retail..
Even the retail version was good..
Perhaps Wilson Pro labs could offer them if they see a business opportunity nowadays...

It’s a latvian brand called DK One started by a former latvian tennis player. Don’t think she’s sponsored by it but she has her name on her visor and name and surname around the logo on wristbands and the shirt. Looks very unflattering though.

Considering Ostapenko is sticking to a Latvian agent, it seems like she’s not really interested in any big deals outside of Latvia anymore, eventhough her results recently have been improving.

Thanks for the details on DK One. I had no idea it was a Latvian brand. Maybe this says something about the current economy and the type of clothing contracts being offered by the big companies. Even a proven winner has to meet difficult contingency clauses to earn any money on their contracts. Other than free clothes, some players don't get much more and have decided to look elsewhere.

Has anyone figured out the Wilson Anisomova is using?
I’m sure it’s been answered in detail. Sorry if I’m late to the party. I’m just watching her match now.

There's no way to prove this, but I suspect there's been some significant sponsorship changes for players (both men and women) outside the top 15 over the past 5-6 years. While these players can be factors deep into a GS draw, and are certainly contenders on the tour, it doesn't seem the bigger clothing and shoe companies offer much to them. Certainly, some of these players seem to be settling for wearing non-branded clothing or modest contracts with small or local sponsors.

This seems correct. E.g. Danielle Collins is wearing Alo yoga clothing (adidas shoes and visor) after being with New Balance for a while. I am not sure if she’s sponsored or not but it’s a pricey brand to pay for out of pocket, so my guess is she has some kind of deal. Comparing this example to someone like Hsieh who is famously unsponsored and wears whatever combo of labels she likes, brand or no.

What racquet is madison keys using? looks like h22/blade paint job, but It could be something else. In the past she had a ultra tour paint job. She seems to have better control now lol

Sock definitely not wearing Nike against Eubanks. Hard to tell what it is exactly..
Jack Sock definitely with Lululemon. He was sporting their hats and clothing during both practice and his match at the Cleveland Challenger yesterday.

Tennys Sandgren was also trying out the Dunlop CX 200 Tour. Walked onto the court with a Wilson bag but stuffed with Dunlops. He was not very pleased with them and told his camp he didn’t know if he could play with them. Complained about the launch angle and only being able to absorb pace and not dish it out. Interesting watching a pro go through racquet ‘demos’ just like us regular folk.

Except ...... He had a full house for doubles matches --- there are only a select few that could achieve that. So regardless of what the clear minority think .... Nick is still one of the most recognizable athletes in the world.
Nick shows himself to be one of the few players who can pack the stands for men's doubles. Who saw that coming? Perhaps he will discover a recharged career as a doubles specialist. More power to him.
