Tut that's a valid opinion, timing notwithstanding. Seems like every time he's lost this year he's had something salty to say.Not that many days since he called Medvedevs game boring and got criticised for that.

What’s great is that even though he say something not so classy he still win matches. He got a decent amount confidence. He gets talked back to as well, but he isn’t over sensitive and make a huge drama. Not bad for a 21 year old! He got the star material the way I see it.Tut that's a valid opinion, timing notwithstanding. Seems like every time he's lost this year he's had something salty to say.
I see it a bit differently...if he were confident in himself he'd probably say something more classy because he'd know he'd beat the guy when it matters. What’s great is that even though he say something not so classy he still win matches. Big 4 were not any better than Tsitsipas, maybe only Rafa, but Rafas English was bad that time.I see it a bit differently...if he were confident in himself he'd probably say something more classy because he'd know he'd beat the guy when it matters.
Between the weird philosophical drivel, the salty press conference answers, and the "bullsheet Russian" comment I think he's actually pretty insecure.
He has Borg's body shape with Russell Brand's head, so I agree he will become quite popular, provided if he keeps winning.
Maybe he'll get better, we'll see.Big 4 were not any better than Tsitsipas, maybe only Rafa, but Rafas English was bad that time.
To me Tsitsipas got the right approach to tennis. He found his own way. He got character.
Better looking than Russel Brand! More muscular than Borg ever was.
If he starts winning on regular basis, he will be loved no matter what he says.said he havent given his best against federer in basel,
not give his full against nadal in RR,
when lost to medv, he is boring player
whether lose or win, it is on his racket
this guy wont get lot of fans/'army' outside of Greece.
I don’t mind him being the way he is now. He isn’t a generic pc guy, neither is a Kyrgios type. I believe he can be great for tennis.Maybe he'll get better, we'll see.
Love Tsitsipas' game, HATE his personality. So self-centred. Thiem was giving him a nice speech after the final and he wasn't paying any attention at all, fiddling with putting on a jumper.
Keep the hope I admit I don't like his behaviour at times too but I really like his game and attitude during matches. He is a fighter for sure.Maybe he'll get better, we'll see.
Thiem's game is boring, his 1HBH is uglyI wonder how Tshit would have explained the final if Thiem had won
His comments aren't fairIts vey easy but mostly unfair, to "isolate" some comments from a 21 yrs old person, when he is trying to handle with publicity, journalists, social media and blame him as arrogant, brat, spoiled etc.
Come on, really?Lance is a proven doper. Nothing to do with tennis though. No idea what the whiny Sampras fan is trying to imply here.
If he wasn't giving his absolute best against Nadal in the round robin it is perfectly believable given he was already through, right? Generally he doesn't seem to be a great loser, no, but it's often said show me a good loser and I'll show you a losersaid he havent given his best against federer in basel,

You can like anyone if it pleases you but please devotee staph cheating readers.Absolutely! Tsitsipas has a fluid all-court game and a sense of maturity beyond his years
Federer wins matches too ya know. What’s great is that even though he say something not so classy he still win matches.
Why would anyone play 3hrs in match just before playing Federer? If he wasn't giving his absolute best against Nadal in the round robin it is perfectly believable given he was already through, right? As for not having a lot of fans outside Greece, they were chanting his name in the O2 last night in a way I can only recall seeing recently for Federer, or maybe Del Potro at the US Open.
I'm not saying he wasn't trying at all, obviously he was out there to win, I'm just saying that between the ears when he had relatively little on the line there's no way he's giving it his absolute ALL. Intentionally or otherwise. I'm sure a young, proud guy like that wants to win every match he plays. Why would anyone play 3hrs in match just before playing Federer?
Ah, they'd play 3hrs because they were trying to WIN.
There would be no other reason to play 3hrs.
Not everything has to do w FedererFederer wins matches too ya know.
I just think it's pathetic/disgusting. The only fanbase that I've ever seen accuse a player of doping (whether in person or on here) is the Fed ****s. That's honestly the only thing that has kept me from cheering on Ol' Rog more. There's been a lot of Nadal fans trolling recently (makes sense since he's top dog for now) and Joker fans doing the 40-15 shtick. But nothing comes close to the worst of the fed fans and their baseless doping accusations.
Stefanos seemed to have many fans in London yesterday. IF he continues to improve and win, he will be a super star. He has it all: great game style, looks, and an interesting and somewhat mystical personality.said he havent given his best against federer in basel,
not give his full against nadal in RR,
when lost to medv, he is boring player
whether lose or win, it is on his racket

You sound like the real Bernard Tomic, which is sad.tsitsipas is lucky he is competing in the weakest era of all time
broken elbow djokovic, old man federer and balding nadal are already just going easy on them all because they see them as worthless runts who cant compete with them so they lower their levels against the next gen and only peak when they play against each other
You sound like the real Bernard Tomic, which is sad.
Nope, not the way to go.He probably just say so cause he feels that he got more in the tank, that he could have been giving more.
Nah, he was giving it his all against Nadal. Wins over these ATG mean a lot to the youngsters and they want to rack as many as they can before they retire. If he wasn't giving his absolute best against Nadal in the round robin it is perfectly believable given he was already through, right? Generally he doesn't seem to be a great loser, no, but it's often said show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser

LOLz that's an apples to lemons comparison Calling a player a decades long drug cheat without a shred of evidence is waaaay worseThe only fanbases that are trying to diminish an era as being weak to make there guy look better for years now is the Novak -, but especially Rafa fanbase so don't play vcitim here

Me too, though I am a fan of Shapo, and lately, ThiemAbsolutely! Tsitsipas has a fluid all-court game and a sense of maturity beyond his years (save for some serious lowlights like the Medvedev drama). Although I'm still hoping for Shapo to fulfill his destiny as the Chosen One, I'd love to see Stef become the next world dominator that the ATP so desperately needs.
You're not getting it. Accusing someone of using drugs to cheat is a much bigger and disgusting accusation. Calling one of the legends (and possible GOAT) of the game a doper despite evidence to the contrary (never once failing a drug test) is in another universe compared to the weak era trolls. It's as easy to prove as the weak era argument ^^
Tsitsipas will dominate Nadal and Federer consistently in about 1 or 2 years. He's very young and getting better. They are both closer to the end of their careers. It's okay. I'm sure he will not give his best against Nadal in future matches either. He respects Rafa too much to beat him.
If he starts winning on regular basis, he will be loved no matter what he says.

Here is a good comparison for what you are trying to say. Let's say there are 2 students in the same grade/year of school, but in different classes (so they have different teachers). Both students get perfect scores on their math tests. Other students see that their peers got perfect scores and become jealous. They claim student A had it easy and the only reason he got a perfect score was because the questions ("competition") were easy/weak. These same students then claim that student B cheated since that’s the only way he could have gotten a perfect score. See the difference? One is just being extremely jealous/petty. On the other hand, accusing someone of cheating is much more serious as cheating is a punishable offense. If you cheat on a test or tests, you can be suspended or expelled. If you dope you can be suspended or banned. They aren't even close to the same thing, and trying to equate the two is beyond laughable.
Agreed. With an anti-doping program as aggressive, almost totalitarian, as the ITF's, you can be sure that any superhuman endurance is all the result of peak conditioning and determination, not doping.Agreed. Its still slander and looks to discredit.
As for evidice, you can basically see it with your own eyes.
In cycling for example some riders in the peleton ride faster uphill after a 4 hour race then most of the peleton on the first climb of the day.
They basically show no signs of exhaustion whatsoever ( Armstrong, contador, froome, wiggins, Merckx).
For the ones that got caught (even without failing a single control out of thousands) the vast majority of fans could see, taste and smell it.. For these fans it was no surprise they got caught eventually.
Tennis, totally different sport since not all is based on endurance but skill plays a huge role. That being said some tennis players in history, and on the tour right now, rely heavily on the physical part and rely on bringing the ball back in play time and time again till the adversary eventually fails to do so.
Sometimes these players seems to be running just as fast (or faster) after 4/5 hours of play then at the beginning of the match, showing absolutely no signs of exhaustion (except for sweating if you want).
To some people that might be highly suspicious.
That's all I wanted to share on that matter.
Just saying you can see it with your eyes isn't evidence. People see what they want to see all the time. Especially when it fits their agenda, like SamprasisGOAT. Cycling might be the most plagued sport when it comes to doping, but just because athletes in one sport dope does not mean we get to automatically conclude that athletes in another sport (or in this case just Nadal) dope. As far as Armstrong is concerned, he actually failed 4 drug tests in 1999 alone. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...r-drugs-tests-in-1999-uci-admits-8577491.html And retests in 2005 of his 1999 samples showed traces of EPO.Agreed. Its still slander and looks to discredit.

Here's a list of tennis players that have been caught doping or had some other illegal substance in their system.
Andre Agassi (1997)-Methamphetamine
Mariano Puerta (2003,2005)-Clenbuterol,Etilefrine
Richard Gasquet (2009)-Cocaine
Marin Cilic (2013)-Nikethamide
Martina Hingis (2007) -Cocaine
Maria Sharapova (2016) -Meldonium
There's a couple of big name big draw player's there, which gives me more faith in tennis authorities drug testing. Sharapova was the one that stands out to me since outside of Serena she was the biggest star in womens tennis.
My issue is with posters/people like SamprasisGOAT and tennisaddict who go around saying Nadal is an "unquestionable" doper (like it's a fact) without a lick of proof. And like I said, Nadal is literally the only player that gets accused of this nonsense. This is a Tsitsipas thread and you have Fed fans launching unprovoked doping accusations. No other fanbase does that.
I like everything about Thiem except his W/L record. The guy has so many things to admire about him as a person. He did seem genuinely affectionate towards him at the net (hugs and kind words) and gave a nice speech about him so it didn't look to me like any disrespect was intended.
Did he say that after losing to Auger-Aliassime?Tut that's a valid opinion, timing notwithstanding. Seems like every time he's lost this year he's had something salty to say.

Just because athletes in other sports dope doesn't mean we get to automatically say athletes in other sports dope (or in this case just Nadal). The guys in this thread are saying Nadal has been doping his whole career without any evidence. There's a huge difference from being suspicious and accusing someone without proof. In fairness there is reason to question Spanish athletes with the number of offenders they have on the Tour de France(Tour de Farce). If Switzerland had more top riders I would say the same about them.
