Roddick has never been my favorite, not at all, but you can't deny that he *wants* it and he is willing to work hard for it.
Unfortunately, his groundies are no match for Murray, and Murray is passing him at the net as if Roddick is a 3.0 woman. Even Roddick's serve doesn't seem to have any effect on Murray.
-Agreed. Roddick definitely works hard on and off court. I think he's one of the hardest working players in the ATP.
-About 5 or 6 years ago, Roddick was known for his huge serve and huge forehand but was often plagued by inconsistency. Nowadays, his consistency has gone up no doubt, but his two weapons are not what they used to be. Roddick's forehand is not what it used to be. Even his serve isn't what it used to be. Up-and-comers nowadays have both consistency and pace, unlike Roddick.
-Trust me, I have tried to like Roddick, but everytime I watch his matches, I am reminded why I dislike the guy. He always behaves as if he's the shiznit on court. Whenever his tennis is not going well, he finds the smallest of excuses to berate, criticize, and argue with the umpire, the opposing player, ballboys, fans, etc. If you've ever heard him argue with an umpire, you know Roddick has no class, has had no proper education, and has no respect whatsoever for other individuals.
-So, let's see...Roddick behaves like a 12 year-old who had no proper education while growing up. His game consists of just trying to serve big and coming to net after loopy crosscourt shots and getting passed. He has no sense of court positioning or point construction...his forehand and backhand are inefficient and ugly IMO. Yeah, that sums up why I don't like this player.
If anyone here is a Roddick fan, I'm sorry I might have offended you for stating my opinion. Feel free to criticize Gulbis in retaliation.
