Haha, this one's slightly surreal.

Still can't find the one I'm thinking of. Kind of heart-stopping. Full extension against the backdrop of the crowd... an impossible get.

I’m not fond the term ‘moonball’ - the more spin you can generate, the harder you can whack that thing.

Spin + pace is the holy grail.

With the spin & pace both Fed and Nadal have some of the highest net clearances in history.

What’s incredible about Fed is 20 inches lower net clearance for 3 inches less bounce in the below comparative.

It’s also what’s incredible about Nadal - margin of safety.

You’re right. I didn’t want it to sound negatively. But the net clearance is so high the ball could reach the moon. The amount of spin is of nothing but impressive. Nadal’s FH is my third all-time favourite shot in tennis, after Fed’s groundstrokes.

Half man...half amazing...would be a sad day when he retires..i'll probably lock myself in the room and cry my heart out..
I know exactly what you mean.

How did tennis get taken to this level...

AO '17 final was my tennis waterworks moment. :) Just pure catharsis or something, I guess.

Totally agree..the final set of AO17 is the perfect way to cheer up for us Fedheads..
I know that there is lot of discussion here about who the GOAT is or the most athletic..but one thing is for sure...if there is a trophy for "The most beautiful player to watch"...don't think anyone even comes close to Fed..

True.

But this one is the best.

It’s the best for me also because of the grandstands.

Best for me because of the overcast skies, like Odin himself out there. Clay courts and the players and the fans don’t give an ‘eff about a spot of rain looming on the horizon.

There’s a sort of raw power in this one along with the grace of Federer.
