I mod mine with 6g at 12 to get the SW up and not getting the weight too crazy, great racquet too but I dont like the whistling noice when swinging fast.
I just added 4g to mine at 12. Have to test it out. Love to see a fellow high SW player!

Edit: Referring to my React 99. Realized you may be referring to the ASi

Thanks for the info, I'm not keen on the whistle noise either, I was going to try wedging some foam strips into the gaps in the throat. I love the innovation though, I've not seen anything like it elsewhere recently. Paul described the ASi as being like the iPhone 1 so it sounds like an updated one is forthcoming, hopefully with more grip size options.
The ASi was just such a unique offering, but unfortunately the SW was just super low. A friend had one for awhile and it was a fun hit but again, the SW just made it non-competitive for me.

I remember reading a comment somewhere that the injection molding process is pretty expensive these days which is why no one else seems to be attempting it on a mass scale.

It would be awesome to see Angell release another injection mold project a little more towards the players-frame arena. Something that feels great in a 95-98in package - and maybe the extra elusive 8 mains in the throat!

I would lean towards the 18x19 based on your post. It will be an "evolution" rather than a "revolution" in terms of racket experience.

Angell 16x19s are very open and take a long time to feel truly comfortable with (at least for me) and I still own a TC95 and 97 16x19 and sold a 100. The 18x19 will let you have more options with string choice, and you can go thinner which should make it more comfortable and a little more powerful when wanted/needed.

Unless you play in clay a majority of the time, I would go 18x19.
This is some incredibly useful info, thanks! I think I’ll just order the 18x19 tomorrow then, I’ve been sleeping on it for too long. I’m based in London (no clay for me :( ) so hopefully I’ll get my hands on it some time next week

I have both racquets, ASI 2.0 I leaded up with 6g at 12, my React Custom MPP 99 18x19 I play in stock form.

Angells TC line is their performance line, and they will hit a heavier ball than the rest.

Jealous! How far away is Angell HQ? You could travel there for some demos.

I have ordered one, why not … had tc95 16x19 and tc100 in the past for 1.5 years. Liked them a lot but always thought a little to open pattern. And very powerful. And now I play only multi or syngut …
And the tc97 18x20 I enjoyed… different beast.

I think I mentioned that the V5 TC90 felt just a touch firmer than my V2s on the first hit. However, after restringing, the feel has settled into to basically be indistinguishable from the V2s. Maybe there's some truth to the grommets settling in? Also, loving the string combo of Volkl Cyclone 19 at 44lb, crossed with Gosen GTour 3 1.18, also at 44lb. Amazing feel on the ball, good pop, and great spin. Just having a blast with these on court right now.

Hey, All…I’m about to spring for a Resct MP…with full bed of Halo multi…can anyone suggest tension range? Thanks…

Anyone gone from TC100 to TC95? Curious to get your thoughts on transition phase and what challenges you faced. I'm going through this adjustment phase at the moment and while I like the predictability of TC95 I haven't fully connected to it yet. I'm stringing it the same tension as TC100 and maybe I need to experiment with that a little.

Missing stability was the biggest issue for me. And I lowered tension -1kg for TC95.

Yes, TC100s are more stable. Espacially the ones with higher SW. The last two I got are 291 SW unstrung - these two are less stable (naturally). This question stable/unstable is very relative - depends on you previous experience. I was using TC100 when I got my first TC95, so I have noticed this change.

So you feel the 100 is more stable? I'm still debating picking up a 90 and/or 100/101 after just getting a V5 95.

But I wouldn't say I feel the 95 is unstable
You should definitely get the 90 - even if it's just to have one. I've been blown away by it, and this coming from 97+ for the past several years. There's something magical about the way Angell built that racquet.

Definitely drop tension on the 95, found it way too went from 52 on TC97 & TC100 to 48 on TC95. Played horrible at same tension as other 2. Was a fair few years ago that I had one though V2 but remember string choice was limited & was a battle to find something suitable. Stability wise didn’t find Much difference between 95 & 100 both were slightly lacking in it for the level of matches I was playing at at the time. Both were just too open for me. The 100 crying out for a more closed pattern.

Not hit the React but looking at the specs I’d go with React. Found the TC100 too open returning on serves & prefer thinner beam to volley.

I love my mids, so I bought one. Figure it'll be here by Christmas.
But time for me to stop this latest round of racket buying. I'll have 3x Angells (TC90/95/React MPP), my Origins, PC2.0, PSVS, PK7G, PS85,RF97, i.Prestige, and black Speed MP.
Gotta tell myself I have enough variety to keep my entertained and mix up the oncourt feel from time to time

So played another 4.5 singles match today. Played with my leaded up React 18x19 27.25"... And I loved it. Serves great, good flex. Can get more launch/spin than the TC95. Their similar enough tho IMO that it's pretty nuanced. I stand by prior comment that prestige type players will lean towards the TC95 while "modern racket" fans will prefer the React.

But the feel (subjective I know!) is much better than Percept Line / Pure Aero lines by far

Still loving my TC 97 18x20, but curious about some other offerings as well.
If Anyone is selling a K7 Lime or React MPP 99 18x19 L3 or L4 in Europe please let me know.

Thanks guys.
Stability not an issue for me - my Tc95 is 27.25, has a SW of 304 unstrung so it more or less takes care of itself.

I had to put a smidge of lead at 3 and 9 for my TC100 standard length and it played beautifully.

I play with 53lbs Red Code 1.30 and will try to drop the tension on my 95s and see how it goes. I will also try stringing crosses with a differential - I stopped doing this on my TC 100 to control its launch angle.

Something for Angell fans perhaps :) especially 16x19 users that struggle to tame the high launch angle. I figured it out

Great video, I want to dust off my TC95 16x19, I currently are playing TC100. Are you back to playing Angell again ?

I've tried so many times to switch to other rackets but in the end the performance I get from the TC95 is unmatched : incredible serve, great punch from the baseline, solid feel yet very comfortable. And more important, it feels very natural to me, fast an stable.

Some regrets I sold my TC95. You're tempting me to buy another one again though I'm happy with my Phantom 100x 18x20.
Besides I just purchased a Prestige Pro Auxetic at a bargain that I couldn't resist. I didn't play with it yet but anyway it is a very beautiful paintjob.

I am looking around. Been away from tc95 since they sent me slightly heavier racquet that I couldnt move as fast as my main. Brexit increased prices and so I felt a little disappointed with everything. On top of that other brands started to use foam-filled designs so i started my journey. I might go full crircle :p depends on the racquet lineup on the market. Tc100 is great as well. It really is a 95” brother and not so far away in feel, touch and control. I could really feel that it is tc95 inspired

Same experiences for me. Especially Brexit made me switch from Angell as well. Now I don't own an Angell anymore and I recall how great I played with the TC95 I miss it.

I went full circle last year. Tried everything out there. Back with my TC97 18x20 :). It's more solid than anything else. Angell is super but they are not perfect (neither is any other racket though). Brexit turned a lot off us away from the brand I think.

So the TC97 nudged LeMonf for you? Or was it more than a nudge?

I had my first "off" day with my TC 95 yesterday - it was shank city.

Part of me wonders if it would have been the same had I been using my TC100.

Can we get a TLDR?

Opinion: tc95 is the best 95” racquet on the market coz its designed really well with a tour level purpose. The average sw is much higher than other similar frames that are often too anemic and unstable.

Tc95 loves to be heavy and headlight.
Headsize is not forgiving but the very open stringbed offers some help but you will need 1.30 gauges to tame high launch angle. Its like a hybrid of prestige beam and pure aero string spacing.

Unform flex profile gives very consistent feel and response.

How to play good with tc95: good core stability and fixed linear image of swing path towards the ball. Keep things simple

I got more control from 16x19 tc95 than tc95 18x20 with same string and tension.

Because its foam filled and flexy i could put any string in it without loosing comfort.

Cheers,
Dan
