I was surprised too. I thought that Nestor won a few but I guess he didn't. He was primarily a doubles specialist, and won pretty much everything he could in that area. Recently retired at 48!

Yeah, Nestor was incredible. I remember near the end of his career, the stat was that every single tournament he entered he had won at least once in his career. So all 4 GS, all 9 Masters, and every 250 or 500 (excluding ones that he'd *never* entered).

Not sure how that accounts for tournaments changing names and locations, but still, was a fun stat.

Recent Elo has it 73.5% Shapo, 26.5% Simon. Not really that close. Shapo is currently ranked #14 in Recent Elo.

Hopefully they're right. I've never thought Elo represented tennis skill very well so I don't find that persuasive, but it agrees with all the other metrics here so hopefully they're all correct about who's better.

I watched the few games that Shapo played today and he was setting things up well but then going wild. Seems he isn't quite used to the court speed. He has a good chance here if he can keep his form for a SF.
