Now he will take on the King himself.

Djokovic never does that with Nadal for some reason. I believe he must have some kind of inferiority complex against him. Only recently he started to roar against Federer, and that must be because he believes the old lion is finished. Nadal beating him in the SF wouldn’t be satisfying. I would like him to reach the final and get bagelled by Zverev or Tsitsipas.

Not a fan of this behaviour, mostly because it's rude to the opponent and it gives the sport a bad face. But the real problem is the umpires, who are so inconsistent.

And seriously guys: "He is just being himself"... Isn't Kyrgios "just being himself" as well?

"Being himself" should not elevate him above the rules (yes, yes, I know the umpire didn't warn him, but he obviously should have)

Novak looks dialed in. He really wants this. Never seen him as intense before in a QF match.

Not bieng funny but was he not dialled in at USO 2020 and FO 2020?
As it happens he seems to like Rafa which i think makes him calmer. Overall though he is on edge and why i keep saying Federer made the biggest mistake of his career withdrawing. The stress levels Djokovic had in QF woukd have been 100x higber v his enemy Federer. He would have lost v Federer. Tennis form would be irrelevant. The occasion got to him. His other problem is be will lose to Federer at W. He is losing it mentally. Anyone can see that.

Thing is his behaviour is being talked about more than the match. On every level it was a stupid thing to do. Nadal now knows one tactic is to frustrate him.

Is he this intense because he's dialled in (can you win 18 majors without being so?) or because he's struggling, not playing well, and thus over compensating trying to will himself on? I certainly know these days Rafa is most intense and pumped up when he's playing like crap.

The strangest for me is Novak's fans are proud of this behaviour.
They are passionate but not sure how many actually understand tennis or are more patriotic guys and girls who got into tennis in 2011 as obviously Djokovic has done much for his country.
Anyone who has followed the sport knows that players who act like that have problems. As a Becker fan 1991 springs to mind where boris imploded in W final. Jim courier once was similar around 1993 end of season and i think resulted in him having to read a book st the change of ends at change overs to keep him calm.
Djokovic not only has offered hope to opponents in Paris he also has made Wimbledon problematic for himself.

There is nothing not to be proud. Bot reached 11th rg semifinals. Second highest of all time.

Took down tricky Matteo, who was hitting crazy fhs and serves. Great match. Nothing to worry or to be disappointed. Maybe could have closed in third but Matteo is no joke. Some 26 winners in that set by MB.

Overall bot didn't allow to get broken, didn't even face bp after first set and that's why breaking MB which was so difficult in set 4 was amazing.

I wonder how the players are reacting to this and if it is impacting their view of Nole.

I mean if you were Nadal and you saw that would you now be more pumped up? I would be for sure.

Yeah I would. And also depending on my values of sporting behavior, I might judge him to be honest. Sport is like that and I know tennis players, coaches, etc seem to mostly share similar values about on court behavior. I know a lot of coaches and none of them would want their juniors doing that.

I can't believe people are still talking about this like it's the worst thing they've ever seen.I think a lot of you never watched any other sports but tennis and golf.

Its a tennis match not a drunken hooligans display in England Premier League. Is Novak's psychiatrist on the break again lol?
