Trying to plan workouts this winter

The indoor clubs have not opened up in my area yet (some are open but the tennis courts are closed). I have a spin bike and I can run in cold weather but I don't run when there's snow and ice on the ground. I have weights but I could use a few more plates (got the 25s, just need another 10 for now). I would like an Olympic bar too but don't have the space for it right now. I could make space in the basement for it but it would be a few hours of work.

If the pandemic keeps tennis courts closed, then it will become a Spring-Summer-Fall sport for me and I'll have to wear my cooler clothes to extend the season. I normally like to play at 70 degrees and above but would extend that to 50 and above if indoor tennis is no longer an option. I would need a larger home to put in a treadmill.

So how are people here planning for this winter when it could be a tennis desert for those of us in cold climates?

I haven't committed to playing in the winter indoor league. They canceled this summer but a recent email said that they will start the winter club league after Labor Day. I have a feeling it will be a light crowd so I don't think I am going to play. It isn't much fun when there are just < three courts and not much of a ladder to climb. My plan this winter is to concentrate on just staying in shape as best I can. I have been going to the gym in the very early morning when it isn't very busy and being very careful to limit my exposure to risk by being cautious. I realize I am taking on an unnecessary risk by even going there but it is part of my life and what makes me happy. I do have a Bowflex at home in my limited space so if things do get worse, as I expect, I will use that at home. It worked ok during shutdown but there is no replacement for real weight and gym equipment in my opinion. I do have to figure out something for cardio that doesn't require running outside. I am not a fan of running in cold weather.

My club allowed us to suspend memberships until August. Every week they send out an email as to what's happening and lots of things have opened up; but not Tennis. My understanding is that they will cancel my membership if I don't turn it on in September. I've been there for 33 years. There is another tennis court in the next city over and I would consider them but they are still closed. The other clubs are 30-50 minutes away and that's a bit far to travel.

I will be spinning when the weather is bad and running when there's no precipitation on the ground. Yeah, it's a lot less comfortable but the other option would be a treadmill and we don't have space for it.

You can play tennis quite easily in weather a good deal colder than 50. Focus more on the wind speed than the temp.

I've played in freezing weather with snow on the ground.

In my 20s.

I'm a lot older today and don't care to play tennis below 50 degrees.

I will run down to about 25 degrees because I have the proper gear for that. And that includes a ski mask if it's really windy.

Ugh. Tennis is definitely not a cold weather sport for me. If our club closes due to dropping numbers and whatnot, the other indoor clubs are 50 miles away. I honestly haven't missed tennis as much as I thought I would. I took up golf again and I am having a good time with that. I played a ton when I was young and was pretty good but I haven't played much at all for the past 20 years. I am just getting my strokes back after playing 6 times and hitting the driving range. I think bodybuilding really killed my golf swing but that's ok.
