Great post Morrissey, I agree with you completely. I wouldn't bet on Nadal to win the tournament no matter what the stakes, but to see him still in right now is amazing. Couple that with the fact that his draw completely opened up and he has a good shot to make the finals. If Djokovic plays another long match he could pull a Wimbledon and retire in the semis. All Nadal has to do is get there. WTF is up with Grafrules? He called ME a Nadal fan boy. You know me well enough to refute that, lol. I called Nadal a champion who isn't faking an injury and all of a sudden I'm an idiot fan boy. Anyway, nice to see you back for a bit, how's Poland?

Haha! He called YOU a Nadal fanboy? I know now the guy is insane. I've been in here for 3 years and you're definitely NOT A Nadal fanboy. Me? I'm more of it but I stay objective or try to. But that grafrules is newbie (that is unless he's under a new name from some other), haven't seen his name before we went to Poland on vacation. BTW, Poland is wonderful, but the girls here are hot. That is if skinny, blonde hair and blue eyes are your thing. Your head would be spinning here. Funny thing, these girls are unattached and they wouldn't last one day in America without getting hit on by at least 10 guys. If you're single, come here. After Wednsaday we head to Spain for 10 days and then we come back to dreaded NYC. Europe is the place to be my friends. But the money is in America.

Grafules dont understand that Nadal's injury is like gastric flu. It comes and go and you cant expect anything from it. He does not have any reason to fake his injury. All his opponents are playing in a grand slam for gods sake. They dont care if you're injured or not. If you are, they'll make you run around the court more and aggreviate that injury. The USOpen is not some charity cup match. All Nadal's opponents are hungry and they want to win as much as the other 126 players in the tournament.

Please.

McEnroe's comments

McEnroe referenced something about baseball during the match. Did anyone catch this. What did he say?

Man, that sounds like a sweet vacation. Unfortunately, my girlfriend wouldn't be too happy if I hit on lots of Polish girls...I think you're objective most of the time, unless a Fed troll gets under your skin and you go off, but who hasn't done that in the past. Grafrules is most likely federerfanatic and all those other guys that are under his wing. If he's not, yay, another one...

Anyway, have fun on the rest of your vacation, Spain is money and I'm sure you'll love it. Take it easy man, keep fighting the good fight.

Ok, Moya beat up on Djoko that was completely worn out and tired

I dont think Djoko was tired. When you're that young and a professional athlete, a couple days rest is good enough to rest up from that Fed match, especially because it only went 3 sets.
I just think his heart wasn't in the game. Maybe he was a bit cocky too coming off a Roddick/Nadal/Fed win.

I will give my testimony to this argument. I have this same injury that nadal has. It is very unpredictable. I can play just fine one day with some anti-inflammatories and i cannot even go more than 4 games on one other day. I have not played any singles tournament due to this injury for last 2 years. The pain can come back any moment, but more stress you put on it the worse it gets. When the pain comes back, it feels like knife stabbing into your knees. But when pain goes away, it is not all that bad. Tape has to be very tight just below the knee cap, and if not done properly, it can cut off the circulation. but i am sure ATP trainers are doing a good job, i hope.

It's all clear and simple, but clear and simple things are too hard to understand for many of these guys. I wonder if they play any sports orther than poker or fishing. I can go out jogging one day and have to stop after 20 minutes because a knee, or an IT band, or whatever, is acting up and it gets worse fast if you don't stop. Then I go again on Saturday, and jog for an hour and a half without a problem. Everybody understands these things excepts the idiots who pretend to see fakery everywhere.

I can never understand this kid. When people don't expect him to win, he wins ! I've lost count on how many times people thought Nadal is going down and yet he proved us all wrong time and time again!

Now you know why he is the most exciting player in the world - he is totally unpredictable - never makes people yawn when he is playing - so like Borg and Macenro and Jimmy

Spanish players don't generally play baseball. The motion of throwing a baseball is remote to Spanish tennis players. That is why they serve slower.

What McEnroe said was something along those lines.

I'm no Roddick fan but he is playing really well at the moment. Was very surprised to see how he has come on. I think this is the tournament whereby he wants to conquer Fed and he could if his ground strokes continue to match his dynamic serve - but it could still be Rafas time - go for it Rafa

They don't play baseball in all of Europe but it doesn't seem to hurt the Croatians when it comes to serving big does it? BTW, Moya and Lopez have pretty powerful serves. That baseball line is garbage, you either have a live arm or you don't. Baseball doesn't make you serve bigger or better.
