US Open draw for Federer, Djokovic and Murray

So here's the potential road to the championship for the top 3 seeds:

Federer
1st round - Young
2nd round - Phau/qualifier
3rd round - Verdasco
4th round - Fish/Almagro
quarters - Berdych
semis - Murray
final - Djokovic

Draw level: 7/10
Mostly thanks to Murray who's in Federer's half. Overall the draw is not bad to the quarters, possibly even semis as Berdych is unlikely to get that far.

Djokovic
1st round - Lorenzi
2nd round - Dutra da Silva
3rd round - Benneteau
4th round - Wawrinka/Dolgopolov
quarters - Del Potro
semis - Ferrer/Tipsarevic/Isner
final - Federer/Murray

Draw level: 4/10
Apart from Del Potro (who is a good match-up for Novak), there are no major threats for him before the final. Very good draw for Novak.

Murray
1st round - Bogomolov
2nd round - Dodig
3rd round - Lopez/Haase
4th round - Raonic
quarters - Tsonga
semis - Federer
final - Djokovic

Draw level: 9/10
Tough draw for Murray, he's got possibly Raonic, Tsonga, Federer and Djokovic to beat in consecutive matches (the last 2 in 2 days) to win the tournament.

TBH I don't think Milos will make it that far. He's underperformed at the slams so far

Nalbandian again a tough first round, having to play Delpo. Could be a fun first match.

Gulbis-Haas also looks promising!

I like Isner's draw too - Malisse, Nieminen/Kukushkin, Kohlschreiber/Dimitrov, Tipsy, Ferrer, Djoker in semis. Semifinal or better appearance very possible this year for the Big Man.

Thanks for this. Another stinky one for Murray but onwards and upwards. How can the 9th seed have a draw that looks like a cakewalk in comparison to the 3rd seed?

If murray beats Federer, which is possible, then I'm certain he'll beat Djokovic. Though, I think Federer takes the title this year.

Djokovic faces a tough 3rd round where he may face 6'8 big hitter Jerzy Janowicz. Could do a rosol?

not worried about berdych, pissed off that federer will get KO'ed by Murray in the semis.

I won't be too sure. Yes Murray did straight set Federer at OG but Federer will be relatively fresh here coming into semis and I think he will say "no" to Murray one more time ;)

They all have it easy in the first 3 rounds. (I don't see either Young or Benneteau as big threats in a slam). Then Djoko has the toughest 4th round imo and Fed the easiest. Djoko also has the toughest quarter (unless Berd miraculously recovers his shape at USO). Semi between Murray and Fed should be very competitive if they both make it that far.

Fish is not capable of holding up over 5 sets at this point. Are you guys following tennis at all or just fooling around here?

Usual tough draw for Murray. How does he do it?
And I'm guessing he'll also get the worst scheduling with less rest and more matches in the mid day sun.
And let's hope Haase doesn't do another Rosol on Murray otherwise he'll have 5 hard matches in a row to win a now unlikely looking slam.
Haase (remember last time), then Raonic, Tsonga, Federer and Djokovic!! to top it all off.

Murray'll look like a piece of meat mauled by a ravenous dog if he reaches the final.

Murray should be fine until R4, Raonic can give him trouble provided he makes it that far. Murray matches up well against Tsonga, and Tsonga has never been great at the USO. Murray will have to be at his best to beat Fed in the SF. I can't say anything for Novak atm, his form as of late can be a complete toss up

Look on the bright side. He might get Lopez in the 3R again :)

Wonder with him being on Federer's side of the draw does this mean he'll be playing on the first day for a change instead of the third?

The only possible way Djokovic doesn't reach the final is if Delpo channels his inner 2009, which doesn't look likely given the wrist issues he seemed to have at Cincy.

Fish always plays fearless tennis against Maestro. Maestro doesn't like those type of players, they bother him a lot.

Dolgopolov is tougher than Raonic?

wow.. feds finally get to be a #1 seed in a tourney AND Nadal isn't even in the tournament and he gets rewarded with a pretty crappy draw.

I mean i guess he went through murray and joker to win the last tournament (in different order) but I don't love it.

It bums me out that Novak was the one that got the "warm up match to the finals" draw

Unless Federer catches an injury or is shattered from his early matches, he's not going down against Murray in under 5 sets. You think Murray after a long match has a chance against Djokovic the next day?

So Wawrinka is the toughest 4th round opponent and Fish is the easiest? You're going full ret***d today, Ve.

The most dangerous 4th round rival is Raonic (in Murray's section), then Fish (Federer's section) then Wawrinka (Djokovic's section).

You obviously didnt watch the last match in cincinnati...

+ djokovic inherited the special nadal walk in the park draw

I have to say it's a pity that Nadal isn't the draw (and in Djokovic's half). At least Novak wouldn't have a walk in the park till the final, I bet Fed-Murray will be the 2nd semi giving the winner even less time to recover.

Have you become Clarky? Lol, he'll be fine. Nothing to be afraid of till the quarters if Birdy even goes that far. The people who should be complaining are the Murray fans.

Now that Nadal is out will any Spanish players even bother playing well? After all their only goal at all the slams is to take out the big hitters before Nadal gets to play them.

pathetic draw for Roger, they couldn't have made it any harder, Fish and Berdych both have good shot beating Roger.

Novak will cruise to the final without breaking sweat. Delpo on hardcourt got destroyed by Novak so shouldn't even be contest if he gets that far.

as for Andy wouldn't surprise anyone if Tsonga beats him in quarters and possibly makes it to final.

my prediction Novak wins US open easily.
