Yeah, it's pretty hilarious.

If I ever had any doubts about him, they were resolved when I saw his con-VINCED official website.

'Confident' is not the word I'd use to describe Spadea. Not quite. Truly confident people are most often rather quiet and humble.

The words which come to mind when thinking of Spadea are 'immature', 'obnoxious', 'annoying', and 'insecure'.

..oh, yeah... and 'Jerk'.

This is from ****************.

I watched Spadea on TTC's "No Strings" which like follows the players around. Spadea is halarious.(sic) He is sooo funny. He was walking around the streets of LA challenging people to "battle rap him", he had like a little cheesy keyboard. Then he was hanging out with John Lovitz and joking. He was like I will give you a tennis lesson "Racquet back and bend your knees, sixty dollars please!". He was just being silly picking up girls to one chick he was like "My name is Vinchenzo Spadea, I am straight from Itttallyy, you have a' nice shoes", she was like you are'nt Italian and he was like "so what if I am not" it was soo halirous. Man, Spadea is wicked cool!! Can't say it enough,

He sounds like a really cool guy, lol. Deuce, it sounds like he was just having fun. You old people take life too seriously...

Tennis players are just people, and most people are pretty boring. I appreciate anyone who has some originality and a sense of humour.

It was seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen. The thing is that it was just so out of control, and he is so full of himself and says the dumbest things that you can't help but laugh the whole time. He has that electric keyboard htat he raps to and he carries around with him, and he goes to a Von Dutch store and just hits on the girl the whole time. Then the best, when the girl says his name Spa-day-a, he goes, "OH!, it's SPAEDEA, cause I'm like a gladiator, (some other line that rhymes), cause I ain't afraid of ya" It was the funniest thing ever, ahha

I agree that Spadea is just out of control. I saw a little thing on him during one tourney earlier this year, where some cameras just followed him around for a little while. He just shoots his mouth off about anything, he reminds me of a PG-13 version of one of my more immature friends. It is funny at times, but the guy is almost 30, he could be a little bit more serious and less ridiculous at times.

But ferrari, this is just the kind of stuff they need on TTC. Great humorous shows that get attention. They need more tournaments of course, but during their down time why not do him? You have to admit it was hilarious? I mean I love El Aynaoui, but his no strings is absolutely horrible, so boring. Guys like Fish and Spadea make their shows great.

I think the younger, less mature people will be entertained by his idiocy, and laugh with him. People who are entertained by him are the same people who laugh every time they hear a swear word on TV or in a movie. Ha, ha, ha...

Older, more mature people will see that Spadea's just a rather pathetic individual in very desperate need of attention, and has chosen to pursue the most obnoxious path possible to this end. If such people laugh at all, they laugh at him, and not with him.

I agree, Deuce.

He's way OTT, but I don't think it's just an affectation. I think that's the way he really is. That's what is scary.

I admit, he's more colorful than most on the Tour. But he gives me the creeps.

I think Spadea's attitude is okay.. Better than roddick during he's "Andy Roddick Foundation" clips.. That kid acts like a jouvenal annoying delinquent.. Hmm wait I think he acts that way on the court too..

You are the ranting and babbling proof that one doesn't have to act like a clown to be perfectly obnoxious.

Deuce man, I don't care how old and "mature" you are, anyone would laugh at that. My tennis coach was dying at it. My mom was laughing too. Don't be so sour about it man. I don't really think that anyone actually thinks he's cool because of it, it's just so insanely funny to see it.

I like the No Strings format but I'll have to agree with you on the Younes one... A total waste of space. What's with the aquarium and the shopping part? Not one moment spent practicing? Also, that agent of him is a complete ass... That remark on El Aynaoui background was totally unnecessary.

Hey Deuce,

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that "dropping a deuce" is a phrase that is geared towards the younger, idiotic, bunch of people of the world. You must be living under a rock or something if you think that what Spadea did is rediculous. Cause you know, watch out my outfit's rediculous, in the club lookin so conspicuous. Awards go out to those idiot young people who correctly identify those song lyrics.

Its just when you see him on court, you wouldnt think he would act like that off court, it was really entertaining though.

I do think the Younes No Strings was a conplete waste of time but saying that is Mardy Fish is the kind of character the game needs is just..., did you even watch the no strings with him, he has no personality

It's not just about seeing who is charismatic or has personality... It was filmed where he lives and practices. so you get to see what his daily routine is and understand why the guy will never be in the top 10.

I've seen the Mardy Fish one like 3 times. He does have a personality. He's hilarious, and he has a nice laid back life, IMO a good sense of humor, lives life kinda the same way I do with his sarcastic jokes kinda.

Hey PistolPete that is Luda on Usher's "Yeah". Whats my prize? Here's a better rhyme by Luda: "Watch out for my medallion, my diamonds are reckless. Feels like a midget's hangin from my necklace."

Very cute, mr. aames...

I called you on your totally unprovoked, unnecessary, and cowardly attacks on a 14 year old poster, and now, as your 'vengeance', you are taking these juvenile 'pot shots' at me.

You're not the first - and you surely won't be the last. I hope you're at least enjoying yourself as you reveal your true character.

Carlos - actually, there are a number of people who don't laugh at such obnoxious stupidity. Not "everyone" finds idiocy humorous. I know several people who find it quite unfortunate and sad. Who knows? - perhaps you'll one day be one of these persons who no longer finds humor in obnoxiousness and stupidity.

Right before Indian Wells there were a bunch of threads about how awful Vincenze was to ballboys, etc. All I knew about him was that he looked intense on court. Once I saw him interviewed about his comeback, etc., and thought he was funny.

At IW I watched his second-round match against Escude - a great tennis match, by the way, played at a very high level. Nicolas had beaten Schalken in the first round and was brilliant out there, but Vince was very tough, very smart. Served well and smacked that two-hander all over the court, and stood in tough with his passing shots against the super-athletic Escude pressing him, attacking the net. Three sets of brilliant tennis. I was right behind the court, Grandstand 1, I think it's called. Spadea never said a cross word to the ballkids, never gave any trouble to the ump, and both he and Escude showed each other respect. Compared to Roddick, Agassi, Courier, etc., a gentleman on the court. He had a group of friends rooting for him, and a massive crowd of maybe two hundred at its height.

Escude and Spadea was the best match I saw in three days.

My pinkys valued over three hundred thousand.

Um your prize, is the self assurance that you according to friend Duece are part of the young and always idiotic part of society. Congratulations.

LOL, I used to listen to that Usher song all the time. Even though I don't really like rap, you gotta love the beat for that song at the start, sounds so sick.

This was incredibly hilarious and I wanna see it again but It might be a little too dated for TTC to reair it. I would buy the DVD if they sold it.
