Optispot has to be the dumbest technology since Fischer had that stupid magnetic thing. That technology was downright insulting to the consumer.

Yeah. I agree on the optispot thing! Was thinking more how the frames play. Have anyone tested the 1 frame. That floating bridge looks weird.

I enjoy my volk frames and skis. I use the V1 pro.

I have had the V1 classic for years and just moved to the pro.

They both have a very nice feel and are well made.

I have never paid more than 80 bucks for a frame either, since they are always in the TW pre-owned section.

I used the Organix 10 325 for a few months and coming from a Wilson, I found the grip size to run a little bit smaller. I'm interested in getting the Super G 320 and will get the 4 1/2 to correct that.

I am a 3.0 player with an Organix 9 with vfeel strings. Love the racquet, but wish it had a little more power. I have some lead tape at 3 and 9, and plan to add some more.

Well, I have noticed that I hit cleaner with frames with paint similar to opti-spot. On my Organix 10 mid I almost never misfit. So, maybe there is something to it, but it's not tech that you would notice-- you would only notice not having it after getting used to it. Even then it would be subtle.

O10 mid has pretty much biggest sweet spot ever. Most comfortable frame ever. Not for everyone though. Hits a ridiculously heavy ball if you commit to swinging it

Rumor has it that the 8-series Volkls offer an arm-friendly alternative to the Babolat Pure Drive and AeroPro Drive, but I haven't sampled them myself.

I switched away from the mighty Wilson 6.1 Classic to the Volkl C10 Pro several years ago, mostly because I wanted more control in a heavier frame. I seemed to get it with the more flexible C10 and I've been stringing these with snug synthetic gut - either 16 or 17 gauge - in the neighborhood of 60-62 lbs. These are my top speed sluggers for heavy workouts or high speed singles, but I've added another Volkl to my bag that's more fun for doubles and less than super-heavy slugging.

I inherited a pair of Organix 10 325g's a couple years ago, but found these to be rather disappointing in their stock layout. Before I unloaded them, I decided to experiment with a little lead tape just to see what might happen. I added only a few grams total to 3/9 o'clock to steady up the hoop and also leaded the handle to get some extra head-light balance. This produced a pair of absolute keepers for me that I use for everything from low speed feeding/teaching to heavy doubles to all but my heaviest slugging. The Super G 10 325g sounds like a similar package with a slightly softer feel, possibly due to modified grommets.

Both of these racquets are kind to my arm - I'm 49, hit a one-handed backhand, etc. - but the C10 has a softer hoop, so I'm convinced that this makes for an even more arm-friendly package than the O10 with its stiffer hoop (it seems to flex mostly at the throat).

I also picked up a brand new Volkl V1 from a friend, but I haven't even strung this frame yet. It may be too light for me, but if I decide to try it, I'll probably want to do some leading up along the lines of what our pal DirtBaller4 did with his V1 Pro.

I have Organix 10 295. I tried many different racquets from different brands but I couldn't find anything better than Organix 10 295. Mine is the very first version and heavier than what TW listed and I also found out Volkl changed slightly subsequent version. I have V1 Pro as well but I prefer Organix 10 295 which I added lead on handle.

The Organix 9 is not a racquet for a 3.0. Its super low powered and light. Needs a very long and fast swing.
Something more appropriate would be the V1 Classic or V1 MP or V1 OS or any model lower than "7".

Any feedback on the Organix 5…?

I have a 12 year old female student who has been demoing both the X5 and X5 SG. Super light racquets with easy power and good control. She did quite well with both of them. That said, she has decided to go with the more substantial X6 SG -- still a featherweight stick by adult standards. The X5 is noticeably stiffer and less solid feeling than the X6 SG. The X5 is actually only marginally heavier than her X10 26" Junior racquet.

Thanks fot your input. In terms of feel between them, how would you describe them? And what racket would suit what type of player?

I had a old Polygon Diagonal long time ago. From what I remember it was really a old school racket, heavy swing weight and very flexible. Mine was smaller than midsize. Just larger than an old woodie. Very plush and surprisingly good spin. Strung it 23 kg with multi. A real catapult!!!!

Has anyone hit with the Super G 320? I've read and watched the review but I want to know how it compares with the 6.1 16x18. I'm interested in going to a slightly lighter frame and the specs, along with Volkl's known comfort, intrigue me.

I own that frame. It's stiff but you have to supply most of your own power. Very spin friendly and comfortable. I'm not a good person to compare it to a wilson because I can't stand wilson and won't even try them.

I have the V1 Midplus Organix. I've leaded it up to 11.3 oz. at 3,9 and grip. I am 50y, 4.0, full western grip, single-handed backhand and all topspin. I play mostly baseline in singles but serve and volley in doubles. I came from heavy low-powered racquets and have just switched to this. Still experimenting with lead and strings but It's a fun racquet for my style and definitely easy on my sensitive elbows. I don't see this as my forever racquet though. The new Pure Aero interests me though :)

I don't think you could go wrong with the super g 10 mid 320. It's just like the review on this site and is a damn solid racquet.

I see that it's a very stiff frame so how exactly does it remain comfortable? By that I mean, how does it feel in your hand? And since it's so stiff, shouldn't it be relatively powerful? The 6.1, when making contact, feels so solid and though its stiffness rating is 67, doesn't feel jarring or anything. My previous experience with Volkl was the Organix 325 which I found very muted and not as solid.

My friends last week after some doubles were debating whether I was 5.5 or not so generating power isn't an issue though with the 6.1, I get plenty of help, especially on serves.

There's literally almost no vibration at all. It's almost weird. I'm not sure why it doesn't have that much pop because I'd think it would too from the stiffness. Maybe the smaller headsize.

What's the real difference between PB and Organix frames? Marketing? I'm looking at the V1 in particular.

There is a difference in feel between PB and O lines. O lines have more muted and firmer feel. PB is more old school with a bit more flex. I am a big fan of the O line - they have a nice solid thump feel and sound. I have 3 O10 295's that I currently play with and 3 V1 Pros that I was playing with. I like both a lot. They are customized to around 333ish SW, 4 to 6HL and 11.8 to 12 oz. I think the O10 and SG10 are top notch frames if you like thin beam modern feel with a touch of classic feel. I am using multi/poly hybrids at 52/48 lbs and will drop tension as weather cools.

Good description. Going from 19mm beam width to 22mm and changing the string pattern from 18x20 to 16x19 was transformational for the 10 mid-plus series -- much more so than the usual model update. Despite the similar nomenclature and position within Volkl's lineup, they are barely cousins. I much prefer the O10 295 to my previous PB10 Light.

The O10Mid is super cheap right now. At first glance the specs are similar to the SG 10 320. But the biggest difference is stiffness, at 59. I guess it would make it feel a bit more like the PB, but I haven't tried it.

Thanks for the feedback! Got an old 1993 radical tour strung with rpm blast at 53 lbs I find very low powered. Would the O10 295 be the racket I seek, a lighter racket with forgiving sweet spot (hate the golfball sweet spot of my head) and easier power and spin?

I don't know about the O10 295 being the racquet you seek -- a demo would be the way to go. The most recent TW reviewers think the O10 295 SG has more even string bed response than the O10 295. I think the O10 295 is a great stick and, personally, didn't notice any hot spots. Either one is completely different than your old Radical Tour. My wife plays the Radical Tour Trisys 260 OS, which I hit with from time to time. The Volkl's are livelier while still having good control and terrific feel. The Trisys 260 OS are more substantial with great plow through and stability. Very different animals.

Thanks!! I'm looking for different. Lighter sw, more spin and power. SG10 or maybe V1 pro could give that. Or even go so far as the 8/7 or v1 mp. Will demo but want to narrow it down first to 4 rackets. ;-)

If you are looking for power and spin in a fast swinging racquet, you have to demo the 300 gram SG8. The Super G version is the one you want, not the previous Organix 8.

Thanks for the input! That is actually one of the strong candidates along with V1 PRO and SG7. It feels like after sporadic hitting for 20 years after 10 years of junior hitting balls daily for 2 hrs it's time to redefine what I do on the court. And a good time to reevaluate my racket choices. I am strong enough for low powered players rackets but on the real power shots I feel my present radical to be too low powered so that using excess force spray the balls. I'd rather have a low-medium powered racket with good control than a medium powered with sprayed power shots. So SG8 or V1PRO is the first ones to demo I feel.

I know some people like V1 Pro but I prefer Organix 10 295 the very first edition. I don't think you can find those. I never knew Volkl made second or third edition Organix 10 295 differently. They have exactly same logo but the color and racket face cross length is almost 1 cm different.
Organix 10 295 is more headlight than V1 Pro so easy to wield and feel lighter than V1 Pro even though they are exactly same weight on the scale. I feel Organix 10 has more precision and control. I do have full swing forehand and backhand.

Maybe demo all three and add another Volkl like the new SG10 320 Mid (terrific feeling racquet) just for fun. TW's demo program is the best entertainment value on the market -- four racquets of your choice for a week at just $11.50. Can't beat it.

I recently decided to stick to a single racquet for as long as I think it takes for me to solidify my game and not worry about racquets. I sold my Dunlop 4D 300, Wilson K-Blade Team, Prince Graphite, and Dunlop Biomimetic 200 Lites and settled on the O10 295. At first I had them leaded up but recently stripped all that away and play 2 identical racquets with Prince Syn Gut original.

I haven't looked back. It's such a great do-everything racquet. When I hit right it has as much power as I need, and I feel like I can hit with great accuracy. It is light enough not to tire me out ever, yet there's absolutely no feeling of instability. And for this former TE sufferer, absolutely no arm pain.

Good advice. I think that's a trip that's good to do. Try stuff an find what's right. Played yesterday with my radical tour (53lbs rpm blast) and if the SG10 295 is with its greater stiffness and 16/19 instead of 18/20 stringbed at least as powerful as my head I will be a happy camper! Since the prestige there isn't a racket in the volkl line that has gotten so much love as the 10 295... My swing is fairly fast and full and I'm confident in generating my own pace. In what respect apart from sw and weight is the 10 295 different? Hard to explain feel though. It will be in my demo order. That's for sure. Posting video later.

There is great wisdom here. Think I'm at least getting my collection narrowed down to as many racquets as you sold in the 1st place.

Currently have SG V1 Midplus, Organix V1 Midplus, C10 Pro and Organix 10 295. 60 yr old 4.0. Currently experimenting with full bed Babolat Nat Gut in the SG V1 MP, hybrid Gut/Zyex in one of the Org V1 MP's and have Kevlar/Zyex in the other Org V1 MP's. The C10 Pro and Org 10 295 sit in my experimental racquet bag with the other experimental rackets.
