When Rafa and Fognini were conversing in some sort of combo language during the Fognini match, One of the announcers noted that Borg, who was standing right there, doesnt speak either Italian or Spanish. Mary Carillo said he doesnt even speak Swedish, lol. Likely referring to his lack of coaching.

1. Fed and Rafa: played too long, poor win-rate of slams entered, too much stress, too many injuries, not enough women.
2. The rest at 25 or over: you've played too long, you suck, retire, not enough women.
3. The rest at 25 or younger: retire now because you probably have no chance, not enough women.
He operates on the "if I have to spell it out for you then you're a waste of my time" theory that conveniently prescribes the same silent, nonchalant coaching to everyone.

I dont care how many majors he won, even in his prime, I found him boring. Nothing has changed. He cant help who he is however.
As for captains vs coaches, someone apparently needs to tell McEnroe to stop coaching his players.
Like that would ever happen.Borg is certainly a benevolent presence. But does anyone seriously think he decided which players were going to play when? Or do we really think it was a collaboration between the top players making those decisions. I know where I'd put my money.

@AlexanderTheGreat08 Fair enough point. But compare Borg when he was a comparable age to Thiem/Zverev and it's no contest who was better looking and 500,000 times more cool. And honestly, I find Thiem completely average looking, even at age 25. Lovely guy, but not handsome, IMO.

I think Borg is one of those guys who never had to develop a personality because he was so talented and all the women in his prime thought he was hot/handsome. When babes are falling over you without you even needing to open your mouth, you don't have to develop interesting chatter.
People kind of project a "personality" onto Borg. The whole "Iceman" thing. Works as a player I suppose, but doesn't make for a great coach or interesting person in a social setting.

i get the scriptnedness of the benches but how in the world they script tennis matches with rackets/balls and nets is beyond me. y'all are weird, if you dont like it thats fine, i get its not everybodys cup of tea but these theories are something else. like someone else said two people just themselves like the wwe is one thing, this is not that.
