I have not played with it until breakage but Head RIP Control 16 seems very strong.
How does RIP Control compare to Technifibre X-one biphase in terms of durability?

^^^ Agree. I switched to RIP Control after shoulder surgery and it's been good to my arm and durable. I have broken it, but probably long after I should have changed it - maybe 6 months, playing 2-3X per week.
besides the RIP Control/etc recommendations (Isospeed/Rip Control/Intellistring is all polyolefin ribbon type strings), you should check out Gamma Marathon DPC.
The most durable is probably one of those cheap tournament nylon strings.
But have you tried quality natural gut in 16 or 15 gauge? If Xcel lasts you 5 hours, VS Touch can get you about 30 hours.
Depends on the string. Multis can be very, very easily breakable. I have a feeling some of these recs are coming from non-string breakersAre you suggesting that a syn gut will last me 30 hours before breakage?
I thought syn gut was LESS durable than multi. Am I off?

What I suggested by the 30-hour remark is that top-quality NATURAL gut (not to be confused with synthetic gut) is far more durable than most multis.
Ooh yes, I saw that remark, and I'll agree. Provided you take care of your gut, this is often the case. Many players are often surprised by the durability (and playability throughout the life of the string!) of NG. Obviously you want to avoid extreme conditions like temperature and water, and there may be some upkeep (if you want, like string savers, and clipping off danglies).
anyone have any responses to my last post?

Would Pacific Tough Gut fit this top quality gut criteria?
15g syn gut or nylon. Multis don't have good durability in general.
