What's the one hole/stain in Djokovic's resume?

Many things can be held against Nadal that can't be against Novak.... Nadal has never had any concentrated dominance, lacks consistency.... Trouble making Semis of Slams for 2 years... 4 disasters in a row at Wimbledon..... Nadal failed to defend a non clay title.... Nadal failed to have back to back Multi Slam season, failed to defend his No.1 position......

Sure, but he has 14 Majors so obviously he makes up for it with enormous strength on clay. No one has done anything close to what Nadal has done on clay, and if not for an untimely wrist injury, he may very well have won the FO this year (he was certainly playing well enough to).

Nadal would have easily won the FO this year way he was playing. Djokovic was so tight throughout that had they met in semi final nadal would have straight setted him.

However nadal won't add to his legacy winning another French open. If he could win the Australian open that would be amazing as he would have two career slams which nobody else has. A third wimbledon would put him with the all time great wimbledon champs.

A third USO won't add much to his legacy .

You said Federer Career Better I agree but Nadals? He has only 1 thing going for him and this is Roland Garros title. Everywhere Else Novak Is Better!

Nadal's resume is still agreed as better by most critics out there considering he was beating Roger on those RG's titles.

Oh and also his disastrous wimbledon this year. Failure to get a channel slam which the other three open era ATGs got.

No ATH at his peak has suffered a defeat like djokovic did and now all the old questions about his mental strength are being boiced again. It was very poor and definitely tarnishes his legacy a bit

Man this is pure hate.

'Lack of competition past 2013'

Only deluded Fedal fanbois would propagate this hoax ad nauseam

Thankfully - anyone with more than half a brain cell and any credibility for understanding the game thinks otherwise

Poor attempt troll-boy - 2/10

Except that what he was saying was true bruh. Though shouldn't be that much of a hole in his resume unlike Sampras not winning RG.

49 CLAY TITLES OUT OF 69!!!! 13 years on tour yet less than 20 hard court titles... this is shameful....

Dj's entire career is essentially a dirty stain on the sport of tennis. So to answer your question, Dj's resume is essentially one enormous stain.

It's too onesided clay heavy, I am trying hard to hold Nadal in high regard but I see the clay heavy achievements everywhere:mad:

Too much RG and less of the other slams..... Heck Nadal can't defend a title of clay man.. By comparison Fed and Djokovic have defended on all surfaces.... Murray has on 2 surfaces?

If you take away all of his French Open finals victories, he still has 5 Majors, which is a tier 3 or maybe tier 2 all-time great by itself.

There would be nothing "shameful" if he had 14 French Open victories and nothing anywhere else, but that isn't the case. He lasted far longer than anyone, including myself, predicted and still hasn't retired (his revival on clay this year was impressive).

Give the guy credit.

Defending titles is overrated. You said it yourself. Murray's done it on 2 surfaces and he's nowhere near Nadal from a historical standpoint.

No Olympics, massive losing record to the Fedal before the end of the strong era (2013).

He became an epic vulture though when Fed became a geriatric and Nadal declined because of massive mileage (having to deal with peak Fedovic simultaneously)

The long on and off injury for like over 1.5 years and the DQ and covid saga.

For all this inflation talk it kinda balanced out if you think about it that could have been Djokovic on another 5 slams or so :p

I guess the USO though.

I also just remembered RG 12-USO 14 period. Djokovic won one slam each so 2/11.

Some people have said in the past that Djokovic should have nabbed at least a couple more in that period. As that is still considered his prime.
