What's this guy's ntrp?

That backhand looks HORRIBLE to me. Why does he stick one leg up in the air (the "Mardy Fish" is what I like to call it)? That might work with a 2 hander, but with 1 hand it just makes him look like a noob to me.

As for the NTRP, I have no idea as I've never played in a USTA league (yet).

Wow - what a backhand! And, he didn't have to pay a cent to a coach to learn it.

I'd say stroke-wise he's a 3.0, however, all the shots (ugly as they were) went in,
so maybe he could give someone fits by not making any errors.

Haha, what an interesting backhand.

I would say absolutely higher than a 3.5 based on his consistency, but then... We don't see anything but those high, odd feeds... no other shots... way to hard to judge. He could be a decent player just farking around for all we know.

WTF??? That is the demo video for a pay site??? How is that video an example of coaching?? Whoa 4.0?? Maybe I should move up? That is the weakest crap I've ever seen.

really ugly stroke. but without match results it's impossible to tell. i'd still guess no higher than 3.5-4.0 range. i would imagine higher level players would eat that ugly stroke for breakfast.

also even though he's hitting a relatively high backhand and hitting them on the rise . . . they are still being fed to him with no spin and not all that high in my opinion. i'd be more impressed if he's hitting a heavy topspin ball hit twice as high in arc and that deep in the backcourt.

So is that his regular backhand in the first post? Even if it is he's obviously gotten good results using it. But I hope he doesn't teach his students that 1hbh technique.

Consistent...
btw this was posted elsewhere as a new drill Federer should learn for hitting high backhands, cant find atm, but remember it...
in the drill, seems like the only purpose is to hit high backhands, but not much pace or spin on the feed or the hit...
