Well Graf had 11 majors before the Seles stabbing. Give her all 3 Wimbledons she won after that (even considering seles ever taking Wimbledon from Graf is laughable to anyone who remotedly follows womens tennis), give her the 3 other majors she won 96 and beyond (Seles was never the dominant figure at that point, stabbing or no stabbing) and we are already up to 17. Even giving her 2 remaining majors at 93-95 (probably stingy, we are basically now assuming Seles keeps winning nearly every single Australian, French, and U.S Open for atleast 5 years total which is most generous to Seles as it is) and Graf is at 19 minimum, still more than Evert, Navratilova, or Serena currently. Plus her surface diversity blows Navratilova way, and her other stats blow Serena away at this point (and I say that as a huge Serena fan).

Anyway if we are going to assume Seles was going to be that great, maybe she would be above Serena now too, pushing Serena down another rung, while still being below Graf as well. As a Serena supporter surely you dont want to invite that idea.

Serena gets a lot of hate on this board because she's a BLACK WOMAN. The racists will always try to DENY it isn't race, but the truth is, look what Serena is doing.

For some people to say Serena isn't a legend or a great champion is disgusting and RACIST. Serena is the Queen of the WTA Tour girlfriend has been winning grand slams since she was seventeen years old in 1999! Serena has been winning grand slams over THREE different generations.

Serena has OUTLASTED all her rivals Hingis, Davenport, Mauresmo, Clijsters, Henin, Seles, Pierce, the list goes on and on.

Serena is still here in her 30s, going strength to strength and she should be commended.

Because honestly, women's tennis is BORING without Serena, it is pathetic, these young female tennis players some are so LAZY they don't want to work out in the gym like Laura Robson. They don't want to work on their games and serves, no wonder the younger players aren't challenging Serena they aren't working HARD ENOUGH off the court.

The ONLY black women in tennis history to win grand slam singles titles are Serena, her sister Venus and Althea Gibson that's IT.

So, Yes, Serena is a PIONEER along with Venus and Althea, tennis is still VERY WHITE, VERY RACIST, and VERY ELITIST sport.

I bet if Serena was white and blonde like Sharapova and had 17 grand slam singles titles her accomplishments would not be diminished.

Serena is a PIONEER in ways Althea Gibson could never achieve in her life time. I am not dismissing Gibson she is indeed an incredible woman she won 3 out of the 4 slams and 5 slams in total.

However, Serena Williams and along with her sister Venus TRANSFORMED women's tennis for the better. Venus and Serena show children and adults of all races that you don't need to be WHITE or RICH to become a great tennis champion.

I don't get why the haters can't just admit it, they hate that an African American woman in her 30s is whopping the asses of these young white players LOL!

Serena at the age of 31 wins 2 out of the 4 slams per year without much fuss. Serena is the GOLD STANDARD in women's tennis, and I just don't see anyone coming up who can challenge her at the moment. And no, I'm not counting Azarenka she has an 0-8 record against Serena in the grand slams I was SHOCKED when I heard this.
