Which RG draw scenario would you personally prefer to see ?

I firmly disagree.
Murray is a better player overall than Nishi (by a landslide), a much better slam player in general. Murray has 2 slam semis to his name at RG, Nishikori has zip (not even a quarter!), Murray has a much better serve (improved it a lot recently), Nishi is easier to break, Murray has better fitness in general, Murray has much more experience, Madrid does NOT play like hard. In 2009, the winner of Madrid also won RG.
Both can be dangerous on the day but I don't see a rationale to make Nishi a bigger threat at RG.

Murray might be a better player overall but Nishikori's clay game is better. Nishikori has a great five set record, his fitness is underrated, when he plays his best on clay his footwork and second serve are ahead of Murrays. Murray won two titles of faster clay that is clouding peoples judgement of his chances.

Nishikori lost in the first round last year but if he is a player that tends to improve in a tournament. I also don't agree that Murrays serve is much better.

given the djokovic hype, I am more interested in a Djokovic vs Nishikori match up.

Given the Nishikori hype, I suspect he will probably stumble at the 4th round.

Djokovic, Murray, Nishikori, Nadal, Wawrinka, Dimitrov, Simon, Tsonga, Isner, Robredo, Gasquet, Kohlschreiber,

vs Federer, Berdych, Raonic, Ferrer, Cilic, Lopez, Monfils, Anderson, Goffin, Bautista Agut, Cuevas.. fair?

I'd take that and even toast your health!

That is one completely goofy statement when all Nishikori has done on clay is win a couple 500 and reach R16 ONCE at RG.
The ONLY slam Nishi has shown promise at is fast hard. (He's also made quarters at AO). Nishi comes across as much more of a hard court specialist. His worst slams have been RG and Wimbledon.
Compare that to Murray who has just won his first master on clay and already has 2 semis at RG. (AND Murray has just played Nishi on clay and made short work of him.)

Nishikori would have won his first masters last year but got injured. You make it sound like Murrays clay court pedergree is way ahead of Nishi it isn't and he has had three more years on tour.

I am not talking in general. I am talking this year. This year, Murray has 100 winning %, Nishi has about 83% and Murray beat both Nishi and Nadal on his way to the master title.
+ it is not arguable that Murray has a better record at RG than Nishi.
Anyway, they're both good. We'll just have to agree to disagree on that particular point.

Just don't fall into the hype trap.
His only notable wins were over Kholschrieber twice, Nishikori and a poor Nadal on faster clay are hardly earth shattering.
