Who are the worst grunters on the tour

Now there have been some greats of the game who also grunted and we had to accept it because these names kept winning titles every month. But who are the worst grunters on the tour?

There are guys who grunt on occasions and in some matches but not all. And then there are some who grunt even on grass while hitting a soft ball. For me one of the worst grunter is Rublev. His entire stroke is covered by the grunt and it looks like he is about to pass out trying to generate pace.

It all depends what your definition of "worst grunters" is.

By the sounds of your post it seems you are saying these are players who are trying to grunt but don't pull it
off convincingly and they sound fake.

If on the other hand you are talking about the loudest grunters that's a whole different kettle of fish.
So state your terms please.

To me Saba makes the most noise right now. It’s crazy.

But she makes up for it with being fun and down to earth and killing it.

I dont know but what brothers me IS the huge screams players do when frustrated, like shapovalov, really looks like they need anger management

Alcaraz, Sonego, Shelton, Felix, exaggeration mode Novak, peak Rafa, and well, anyone who grunts is bad/worse/worst etc. by default.

Alcaraz is a breath of fresh air in every other way, thus I can tolerate. A genuinely good kid who much to my annoyance, grunts

Not sure about faking but those who are making the game less watchable by grunting.

It has been proven time and time again that players can turn their grunts on/off at will.
Watch them during a practice session. Same strokes very little grunting.

Watch them during a match at critical points in a game when a different type of concentration
is needed. Their grunting can miraculously disappear for several strokes!

As much as I adore both her attitude and tennis, Sabalenka is absolutely awful to listen to and I WANT to watch her play but good lord girl, silence!

Man its like eée ,and nothing happens.No pace at all.Sonego when screams sometimes destroys the ball on the forhend and service,but its awful too.

Besides her awful grunt, Saba has a style of play to go with it.

Re OP, Alcaraz is definitely up there. I’ve noticed many Spanish players like to grunt, heading by non other than the great Rafa.

The worst grunt in ATP (top 100) … goes to Munar (can’t think of anything good about him).

I remember a WTA player who used to grunt on forehand slices.

Alcaraz definitely has some annoying delayed grunts in terms of current players.

Some of Djokovic's grunts on important points are also pretty insufferable (the AO 2018 SP against Chung LOL)...
