I don't understand Eurosport. It's no big secret I am a big Steffi Graf fan, when she played (and there were a lot of good/great women's matches in those days, encounters between Graf, Seles, Sabatini, Capriati, Navratilova) there was almost never any airing of those women's matches. Yet we were bombarded with all men's matches even the louzy ones. Now, I am also a big fan of Roger Federer and all they do is show mediocre women's matches, with some exceptions. Why is that?

Eurosport sucks and so does trying to lose weight.

Let's understand this. Whatever you happen to want to watch at any given time in your life, Eurosport decides to show something else. And you have weight issues. May I ask if you were bottle or breast fed as a small infant?

ES didn't buy the rights to air any Masters event and they won't do so in the future.
They've done some good jobs with the Slams, but appart from those 6 weeks a year (no Wimbledon) you'll hardly see any ATP matches. Their coverage of men's tennis just plain sucks!

Don't depend on Eurosport.. watch TVU player and you can watch most Master Tournaments over the internet for free. I'm from Holland and I'm watching Federer - Almagro right now. It's reasonable quality. (go to www.tvunetworks.com and install the tvu-player. There is no spyware. Select channel 10006 and watch tennis for free).

I once sent an e-mail to Eurosport, why they don't broadcast any men's tennis. The answer I got, was that it was too expensive for them to buy the rights. So that also is an answer to those who say that men's tennis isn't as popular as women's tennis. The reason why there isn't much men's tennis on tv, is that you have to pay for the channels that broadcast men's tennis.

And they´ve even cut down wta broadcast to a low on ES 1. Couple years ago, there was so much tennis on ES, compared to today, it´s almost nothing

yes eurosport is definitely ****...in fact most tennis coverage world over is pretty **** if you ask me.
Except for GSs noone seems bothered with covering anything fully.

Bump to the thread, they are only showing us and aussi, and I would really like to see more of this. Also while aairing those, many times they pick the wrong matches to go with ..

I only knew about TVU because someone posted a thread about it on this forum, but spread the word, because Eurosport really, really sucks and everyone that wants to watch men's tennis is helped by TVU and in Holland there really is very little tennis on tv, very, very little tennis.

Yep men's tennis has better ratings than women's. Women's tennis has really been starting to bore me lately. Especially watching it in person where the game looks even less impressive than it does on TV.

WIMBLEDON, England — Roger Federer's second Wimbledon final against Rafael Nadal drew a TV audience about 10 percent larger than last year's matchup did.

The coverage of the men's championship Sunday, won by Federer in five sets, drew a 3.2 overnight rating on NBC. That's up from 2.9 in 2006, when Federer beat Nadal in four sets at the All England Club.

The ratings also increased Saturday, when the men's semifinals and Venus Williams' victory in the women's final drew an overnight rating of 2.8 _ a 27 percent rise from 2006.

Overnight ratings measure the largest TV markets in the United States, accounting for about 70 percent of the country.

Warriorroger: als jij in Nederland woonachtig bent, ga dan na of je in jouw regio digitale televisie kunt ontvangen (bijvoorbeeld via Casema). Digitale televisie aanbieders hebben meestal uitgebreidere zenderkeuze). Bij Casema ontvang ik Sport1. Zij zenden ALLE Masters toernooien uit, en wel vanaf dag 1. Zeer de moeite waard.

yeah, last year Eurosport carried the Washington tournament, this year its gone and all they show is womens tennis, they also used to have the pen pilot, i hope they still show it this year, but i doubt it
