Who was the hotter band ?

Nana's sang about summer-their one great song. Bangles had some classics written by other people-Manic Monday, Walk Like An Egyptian, If She Knew What She Wants & Eternal Flame. Hoffs was one of the hottest lasses of the 1980's.

I like my rock stars hot and nasty...Joan Jett FTW!

Very attractive face but her tough image got in the way of enhancing her natural beauty.

Pat Benatar was really the first rock chic, followed by Joan Jett. Seen them both a couple times live and I can see why they are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame....both great live. Lita Ford played with Joan Jett in the Runaways before they both went solo...she is not so good live.
Vixen was a girl rock band that was really good that actually played instruments like the Runaways,Bangles and the Go-Go's.

Go back a bit further...try Marianne Faithfull and Christine Perfect (later McVie) as UK rock stars and the SF duo of Slick and Joplin in the 60's for female rock stars and Tina Turner for rock/R&Bs. Then, if we delve into the pop/rock debate, I would also include Dusty Springfield and Joni Mitchell from the same decade.

Sorry for the digression...it started with the Benatar reference as "the first rock chick".

Back to female bands...Suzi Quatro and sisters Patti and Arlene, along with friends formed The Pleasure Seekers in Detroit in the mid-60's. Talented, stylish and pleasantly attractive in the 60's way with miniskirts and go-go boots.

I always think of Suzi as being British. She had incredible success over here from 1973-1980, while pretty much being ignored in the US.

Is your objection that they're not bands or not hot? I only ask because Grace Slick was definitely hot in the 60's. I agree on the other 3 either way.

Well to be fair, outside of Mats Philander's Susanna Hoffs gif (and btw, thank you 1000x Mats) asking "who's hotter: Bangles or GoGo's?" is like asking "Nickleback or Bieber?" ..... i.e. imho.

Actually Bananarama. And both Bieber and Nickleback are hideous imho
