RAFA has the earliest opportunity since the AO comes before RG.
And with extended hitting practice, no one can stop him at the AO next year.
So its game OVER for Federer/Djokovic.

Sounds about right! Peak rusty golden BULL is always the favorite.

Rafa I believe can do it. Very unlucky tournament for him though. Robbed by injury in 2011 and 2014 and so close in 2012. Also missed the tournament in 2006 and 2013.

Here we go, Rafa again... I see another injury coming up...
What is next? Rafa, the favorite for 2017 WTF??

Well, Djokovic is the only 1 of the 3 currently winning Slams so no prizes for guessing how I voted.

Not sure what you mean. My point was that Djokovic is the only 1 of the 3 players mentioned in the poll who is currently winning Slams.

I'm assuming he thought you meant that there are 3 players currently winning slams, of whom Djokovic is one.

Went for Nole.

The AO has always bugged me - I just feel Rafa should have another one there only didn't have too much luck and deserves another one there....However I'm sure Nole,Fed, Murray fans probably feel the same maybe about other slams....

I'd take another AO over anything - then the CV would look beautiful and a lovely balance to it in my eyes :)

If it is anyone it will almost certainly be Novak, but I'd like to say something else here.

I don't like the term "Double Career Slam," and I've said this on this forum before, but I'll say it again. Some terms are fine because they mean something special. CYGS and Career Grand Slam are very special achievements and I put a lot of weight on both of these if I want to compare careers. Even the Non Calendar Year Grand Slam has some real significance.

But the "Double Career Slam" is more like a marketing term. Achieving the CGS once is very significant, but achieving it twice doesn't really double your legacy. At this point all of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic only need one more slam for this "double." That's what it is. One more slam. It doesn't do the same amount for your legacy as if you had won one slam AND completed the CGS in the process.

It's even worse when the talk is about this "Career Golden Masters" or whatever it is to signify someone who wins all 9 Masters and maybe throw in OSG too. Tournaments of some importance yes, but nowhere near the first thing anybody will talk about when all of their careers are over.

I don't know. Maybe I'm one of the few, but it just seems to me like the ATP (and by consequence the people who watch tennis) are pulling terms out of their asses to make these accomplishments sound bigger than they really are.

Maybe I can just picture some TTW fanboy saying "HAHAHA, my player has the DCGS and the CGM+OSG and ODG AND he beat GURUFILS 45.5 times, and your player didn't HAHAHAHAHA"

Like any of that really matters.

I think your are definitely correct there.

However I do think it is a serious accomplishment - no one has done it before (I don't think so anyway) and as a Rafa I'd take one more AO over anything else really - just a personal choice. You could be well right though - maybe Rafa and other players think nothing of it. Yeah I doubt it would be mentioned much when the careers are over to be fair - maybe tis just more for hardcore fans.

Laver has 2 Calendar Year Grand Slams so he's done it.

Double career slam is meaningless. As far as legacies go it's important to prove yourself a competitor everywhere but total achievements are more important now.

Federer has finally started skipping clay season so certainly not him and I'd bet Nadal wants a 10th FO much more than anything else.

I think Djokovic wins 1 more RG.
