Will Azarenka be sticking with Wilson Ultra?

I find it kind of odd that the Wilson Ultra is the least advertised racket in the lineup. Pros do use it, including Feliciano Lopez and Makarova, but the most famous one is Azarenka who's not playing right now. Do you think she'll be sticking with this model or pick another? Will Wilson update the Ultra or come out with a different model? Let's see if @TW Staff can help out.

You're right, the correct word is advertise, not use. I'm curious about what's going to happen to the Ultra line. I really don't care if the Pros use a different racket since I just don't play anything like them, but I care what rackets are available for me to purchase. So far the Ultra has suited me better than the Pure Drive.

As far as the recent info goes. The new Ultra line is launching this year. Borna Coric is supposed to be one of the endorsing pros.

I have never followed or been influenced by endorsements.
But I can certainly see the benefits ($$$) of having endorsements, even on the small scale....

When you change the narrative from this player "uses" the Pure Aero Play to this player "endorses" the Pure Aero Play. Well, heck.
I endorse the RF Autograph in that case. I've never swung it even as a demo but I endorse it.. I wish I could use it.

I’ve really enjoyed playing with the Wilson Ultra 100 CV. It was the first intermediate/advanced racquet I’ve played with and has really elevated my game. I have grown into this racquet and definitely see myself sticking with with for upcoming tennis season.

Pros that I know of that endorse the Wilson Ultra. I’ve seen both of them play with it. (Or what appears to be) lol

Check cortex locations, string pattern, grommet shapes, bumper guard lengths, etc.

The only thing you have to check in this case, IIRC, is the string pattern (main skips) and the grommet shape in the throat to convince yourself.

Who really knows.

Most pros when they are sponsored are given a bunch of frames with different specs and are asked to choose which one they prefer. Then they get them painted like the frame the sponsor wants them to endorse. So likely no rackets are anything like the retail models sold at stores. Those are made far lighter so the rec player feels strong swinging them and thinks he will hit much harder balls just like the pro that endorses them.

Most racket companies are just playing mind games with tennis consumers these days.
