Will you Nadal fans congratulate Djokovic if he wins AO

Both OddJack and me explained clearly why we think so and that it is not based on the results. No need to beat the dead horse now, thanks. And yes there were double standards when Djokovic was mentioned in the same context as TMF pointed out.

Also my opinion about Nadal wins in FO, Montreal and USO are explained in detail in appropriate timely threads, so no need to repeat that once more.

Thanks.

I know this is the pro Nadal forum but that doesn't give them anymore right than other fan base. Fact is they are just as bad(if not more) at dissing other players(and other fan base).

I will, I already did when he won the US Open in 2013 when I joined this forum. But then again we Djokovic fans are classy and not spasticated like the Nadal fans.

yes..."we Djokovic fans are classy and not spasticated like the Nadal fans", definitely proves that :-?

If he were to win, I would have no problem congratulating Djokovic and his fans. Why would I?

My predictions have been updated after the draw and surface/ball comments from pros.

From a Nadal/Djokovic/Other distribution of 48/37/15, I am now at 19/56/25. I think a dark horse has a great chance of winning this, but Djokovic is now clear favorite. Humpty Dumpty is winning this without as much as a flake coming off his shell.

Welcome back from your short break FOD- I hpoe you had a nice time!:) I do think Djokovic is now the clear favourite but Nadal is such a fighter you can never rule him out. I can't wait for the tournament to start!

Any forum member who has been banned multiple times has a problem communicating with people. No need to try and reason with such people. It's a hopeless cause.

Thank you, man. Yes, you can never rule out Nadal, but this is now Djokovic's to lose in my opinion. I went as far as to congratulate Djokovic and his fans for his victory BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT STARTED (see my other thread). ;)

As Nadal will say in 2 weeks, "Congratulate Novak for great victory, no? He is a great champion, and wish him luck for this season." :)

I would absolutely NOT congratulate his fans, what do they have to do with it?

Novak Djokovic is one dandy man,
The greatest champion of Kangaroo-land.
His fitness is tops when gluten-free,
His backhand amazing we all agree.

A lot. Fans watch tennis, give pros money. Without fans, pros would not be motivated.

Without us, nobody would even be a pro. Without us Fed and Rafa are just some strangers hitting a yellow fuzzy object :):

Djokovic isn't good enough to beat Nadal at a slam anymore, so if Djokovic wins the AO then it means somebody else eliminated Nadal (but that appears virtually impossible, considering Nadal's first 4 opponents will be lucky to win a set.....Only Del Potro may win a set, although Del Potro has a poor record at the AO so I'm probably overrating Del Potro).

These posts of yours have absolutely nothing to do with the question I posed in this thread. Please go away.

It's N.S.K. Every year he makes a new account and says Nadal will win the CYGS.

Yes, it is a yearly tradition like the impregnation of the Mirka or the world renowned Djokovic jumping of the net at Roland Garros. Just one more gift from a world rich in cultural diversity. :)

OK so since the draw came out for this year's Australian Open I've seen a lot of Nadal fans moaning and throwing their toys out the pram because they see it as unfair towards him and too easy for Djokovic. I know if Nadal should win the tournament I'll be one of the first to congratulate him given how tough his draw is as he will no doubt have deserved it and credit should be given. I always think being a good sport and staying classy at all times is the way forward rather than sour grapes and complaining afterwards. The way I see it is that if you win 7 best of 5 set matches you deserve the victory and let's not forget that Novak's not responsible for how the draw turned out. So I ask all you Nadal fans out there-will you congratulate Djokovic if he wins the tournament?

Most Nadal fans are not crying about the draw. They are just laughing at Nadal critics who accuse tge slams of rigging draws in Nadal's favour. I, as a Nadal fan, am happy that he got a tough one and Djoker got a cake.

I am with you in congratulating the winner when he wins fair, no matter the draw.

Yes, I would congratulate Djokovic if he wins AO. Especially because winning I expect Rafa to win it.

I congratulate any player who wins a slam. Unlike most people here, I don't hate a player for being better on whatever given day. They're all playing above where I ever could. I don't understand all the hate here.

Congratulations Djokovic and his fans for reaching the quarter final of the first grand slam of the year.
Good luck for RG.

Many Nadal fans never gave Wawrinka any credit for the win, let alone congratulate him. I expect the same group wouldn't congratulate Nole had he won the AO.

Who cares if Nadal fans congratulated Wawrinka or not. I did. I always do whether it's Simon or Stan or Federer or Djokovic when they win a big title. I don't expect you or anyone else to do the same.

I wouldn't even congratulate Nadal for winning the AO. We are just nobodies on the internet, so its not like us "congratulating" a pro tennis player means anything to the player (if he even reads our posts)

I hope it wasn't too hard for Rafael to congratulate Stanimal or did Ralph send a congratulatory note via Lopez/Dasco?
