Had another hit with my BP 16x19 today.
Changes from the previous time: I've added 1g at 3,9, and 12 respectively, and counter-balanced with 5-6g at 7" above the butt cap. This has increased the static weight from 339g to 349g (this includes around 1g of finishing tape once the overgrip was re-applied).
The racquet played very well. Still very comfortable, excellent stability (the SW should have been around 343 before the mods, so not sure where it's at now), excellent directional control, excellent slices, and plenty of net clearance on most shots (but I did have more incidents of the ball hitting the tape due to a lower launch angle than usual).
My racquet, as I've said before, has been strung a little too tightly (DT of 40 and I usually like 37-38). This will be remedied next time around with a slightly looser stringbed, which will help achieve a slightly loopier shot and even more comfort. Furthermore, the grip feels just a tad bigger than I would like, so I may need to replace the original grip with a leather one. This may result in a slight reduction in thickness and a further increase in the HL balance, which will hopefully further improve the maneuverability.
The racquet is very powerful and this is something that will require further tinkering, in order to get the right balance of control, power, comfort, and launch angle. Several things are clear: the racquet has enormous potential, and I will need time to fully gel with it. However, with each hitting session, we are becoming better acquainted.
