Wilson pro labs Six One 95 v13 questions

Questions for those who own the Wilson pro labs six one 95 18x20:
1. Are the string holes/ grommets parallel drilled or traditional?

2, does the grip pallet have amplified? (Carbon shanks)

Basically trying to figure out “version” this six one is modeled from. If the holes are parallel drilled I believe the grommet will have a separate piece on the bumper guard for the center main strings.

Supposedly this is a re-skin of the old Hyper Pro Staff. I’m sure there are some differences rather than a pure paint job change, but that might be something other posters and owners can answer.

Not sure if it is the same model, but I had a Prostock Six One 95 18x20 (*the white with gold accents - one before the last paint job). It felt much softer than the retail Six One 95 but needed some lead at 2 & 10 for more stability and plow. Not sure which model it was based on, but it definitely felt much more flexible.

Anyone else notice that this stick is on a competitor's website? Thought these were only sold through Wilson.

There's no supposedly to it. It is reissue of the HPS 6.1 mold and layup. Several posters confirmed that directly from Wilson (myself included)

As such, it does not have any of the features/enhancements of the more modern 6.1 frames: no parallel drilling, no amplifeel, etc.

Couldn’t figure a better place to post this, but I heard from Wilson customer service that grommets for this one are back mid-March.

Nice! Was just on the prolabs site and couldn't find them - is there a trick to finding them? (tried putting one in the cart to see if it offered a + grommet option) Or maybe will be more obvious when back mid-March..

yea, we need to wait. The old links I have to pro labs bumper/grommet sets are all broken, so I don’t think they are on the site currently.

Is it hard to get spin with it?
It’s there. Groundies may be flatter but spin is still there. I like driving flat balls on occasion because I feel like the smaller arc gives less time.

For some reason I think I get more spin on my serves with the 18x20 than my Clash Pro 16x20. Haven’t measured to confirm.

The clash open pattern I think causes my strings to notch pretty quickly, so spin is remarkable on groundies until they notch and stop sliding, then it’s inconsistent and has less spin. Definitely less spin notched up than my 18x20 with older, more played strings that still haven’t notched.

I don’t really notch strings in the 95in^2 18x20 pattern for some reason, at least not as quickly.
