Technically, if one tour player uses it, they’re not wrong. Not saying they’re wholly in the right with how they phrase it, but racquets for the pros are exactly that...for the pros. They change things less than us because it can mean a difference of hundreds of thousands of dollars, so they get paintjobs. I don’t have any problem with that. We get better tech, they get peace of mind about their equipment.
I guess. But I do disagree about the better tech. Pro stock rackets like the h19 and the h22 are a completely different breed of racket. There is a reason most pros dont use "new tech" most of it's a load of vs and marketing.
I should clarify that I think most “tech” is just variance of layup, weight, etc...but companies have gotten better at figuring out what works. And, things like countervail and the clash-style flex are big difference makers for the recreational player when it comes to arm health and fuller enjoyment of the game—healthy and pain free arms mean more court time! Racquets available now are generally so much more playable than racquets from 10-15 years ago—more free power, greater stability at lighter weights—and the more casual player is probably going to have a better time on the court with today’s sticks. I seem to be in the same camp as you—I favor H19, H22, and PT57A style sticks and play with pro stock blades, but we’re certainly in the minority.

No. That was a typo, I believe. Got mine this week, and it’s a lighter spec ultra 100 and 27 inches. TW measurements confirm this too.
Wilson rep brought it for my academy to try. I thought it hit a bit different.
Hard to explain. It just felt much cleaner. To be fair I have been using the Ultra Tour leaded up with hyper G not 4g, but I thought the flame flexed a little differently.
Yeah, I used to use 4g, so I didn't really think it was that. It also might have been that I play five hours a day and have had them for a while so they might be breaking down. It felt a bit more like a clash on contact. Not much, but I could just feel the throat flex and really hold the ball and then launch. Hard to explain.
I rephrased it so it was easier to understand and got left on seen.
I prefer the 2.0 PJ but 100% agree, happy they kept it going
