In years gone by I would have expected him to play himself into form. Not now, he looks sloppy if his draw was harder I'd expect him to fall early...

Roger says he is motivated and inspired. He says he is there to win the tournament. Happy to go on court. Feels some pressure.

Asked if he felt sorry for his opponent, he said he left that in the juniors. He said he's put the hard work in and he deserves it.

Can't really take too much out of this match though. Lorenzi is simply not good enough for that. R2 will be a better indication of his current form.

Entertaining match. I just finished on DVR. Lorenzi looked pretty good. I didn't even realize he was a tennis player. He is great as Nucky Thompson in Boardwalk Empire.
