This is pretty sad. Roddick can't keep the ball consistently in play through standard rallies and can hardly return Djokovic's slow second serves.

He definitely cared about the Nadal match and tried very hard to win it. After not winning that he seems to give up. It doesnt really make sense as that is the toughest opponent in the pool and he still nearly won, he had a real chance of qualifying still.
