Your current poly mains/ syn or multi cross setup?

I have a stick with Iontec Black mains crossed with PSGO and a stick with WC Black5Edge mains crossed with PSGO. Both rackets are 2012 Pure Drive and I don't have a ranking but would hope to play 4.0 or above.

I have a Pure Drive Roddick that recently was strung with Discho RPM Power full bed @ 48lbs.

They all play very well.

for mains I like:

I've been using blx pro open with full black code strings but it was crushing my wrist so I switched to hybrid. Yy850pro mains and sonic pro crosses. Felt much better on my wrist but I might switch mains and xs or try adding a spinnier poly next.

Anyone ever used PPA as a cross with a textured poly?

A friend of mine uses Solinco Tour Bite mains with PPA crosses and he said he loves the amount of pop he gets. He previously had thunder blast in the crosses but he said that PPA gave him a bit more of everything.

I use Iontec 17 and a random leftover reel of Sensation 16 I found in a YT Speed MP 16/19 at 46/48. Even then, I'm having quite the trouble generating power off of my serve and backhand, but tunes perfectly to my forehand. I play 4.0 at a high school level.

I 'm about to try Lux Alu Big Banger as mains with Technifibre NRG2 as crosses in a Head Microgel Radical OS. Still wondering if I should do the poly as crosses and the NRG2 as mains. Your thoughts?

Isospeed BL Spin/OGSM (52/58) in a Pro Kennex 7G. Incedibly sweet setup that runs about $2.50/set. Going to experiment with IBS/Forten nylon in my main racquet once my white reel comes in. If it works as well as it does in my old PK Silver Ace, string price drops to $1.50! I'm 3.5.

I used to use ALU Power Rough 16L / NXT 16, really nice feel. It's a little too powerful for me now, but it's super comfortable for a hybrid, and gives plenty of spin. Hope this helped!

In my Blades I'm just using RIP Control, it's sweet haha.

My signature, in that racquet. It's very comfortable and low power. Good spin with good strokes. Still trying to figure out my Biomimetic 200. Very different feel.

I'm a 3.0 with solid strokes but no strategy, counterpuncher. With my Physics degree wed to my interest in the game, I sometimes have something worthwhile to contribute.

Hmm Ive been looking at trying Alu power and cyber flash seems to be a cheap version of it. Maybe I shouldn't drink the koolaid after all and just go with the cheap option...

Pro's Pro Blackout mains @35, Volkl Syn cross @40.
got TE issues, so like the ELT. Just finished 7-8hrs of syn mains/poly cross, but the syn was notching real fast. tho the snap back was gut-like!
BTW, PP was $40reel and Volkl was $40reel(TW happy hr). happy!

Currently have rpm blast mains and prince syngut crosses w/duraflex. Poly has gone dead, getting a restring tomorrow, trying WC Black5Edge mains with thunderblast crosses.

Racquet is youtek IG radical pro.

No rating at the moment but I'd guess about 3.5ish

Where in the world did you get the idea to try Black5Edge with ThunderBlast? :)

I've never tried ALU, but Cyber Flash will last longer. I don't see why anyone not sponsored by Luxilon would bother with their strings.

either Solinco T B Soft main/ and any good sun gut in crosses.
I also really like the Volkl hybrids. Have V Tourque/N VY in one stick and the Psycho setup in a nother (Cyclone/Power fiber).

just played 2hrs (1singles, 1dubs). not happy. felt tingy. did not have the plush feel as my reverse setup. arm started to hurt by 2nd hr. even the spin was questionable. going back to my previous setup. thank you x-2 home stringer!
where's that syn mains/poly cross thread again? hah!
..................(gut mains/poly cross)

but that's me (and my arm).

Does the spin diminish as the NXT notches more over time? I'm thinking of crossing NXT w/ 4G

How long does that last you? What racket?

I use it in a Pure Drive Roddick. I have 3 racquets, but If I played one racquet only, I think it would last about a month. I play 3 times a week. I usually restring all 3 racquets every 2 months. I have not broken a string with this setup yet. I play at a 3.5/4.0 level. I hit fairly flat, but I get much more spin with this setup.

I got a 315 limited 16 main coming with rpm mains and x1 crosses. Should be good!

RPM Team mains and Xcel crosses (see signature). Actually going for durability when I tried a poly main and multi cross but it's got too much unwanted power. Its better the other way around

ive played this identical setup/tensions in

Yonex Ezone 100

believe it or not i havent had to adjust the tensions to suit any of the above stick,s...

great power/control/spin and durability of over 10+ hours per stick

I am liking either YPTP 1.25 or Volkl Cyclone 1.25 Mains crossed with Rip Control of either 17 or 16 gauge. I strings the mains near 47-50 lbs and crosses 4-5 lbs tigher. Nice spin and control with either and a damp/comfortable feeling stringbed. I am using my old Ezone 100 again and I can really swing out with big spin. Note that i have shortened the Ezone to 26 5/8 and with it's higher sweetspot it feels more like a normal length frame, no extra shanking that has been reported by some with this frame, I'm using my skip every 4th cross pattern and the spin potential is amazing. In addition the distance from the butt to where the hoop begins is now exactly the same as a standard length Wilson 99S, I did not like the play of this racket in std length, IMO it plays much better a bit shorter because of the sweetspot to hand distance IMO.
