Zverev far superior to Federer in every aspect of the game, even dropshot and lob

Break it down:

Serve: Zverev more pace, spin, and variety

Forehand: Zverev more authority

Backhand: Zverev can hit 3 or more topspin backhands in a row

Volleys: Zverev more punch, touch, and feel

Overall, not a very flattering situation for peak player against fresh-poking youngster.

Tweener?

In the modern game this is a very important shot and I think the reason Federer is still a force in the game at his age.

It Roger comeback from injury and layoff! No biggie! Wimbledom will he the one to watch Rodger's performance; not a tuner tournament!

Zverev played great over his win over Roger however! He one of many new potential top ten players in the ATPTour!

Or perhaps it helped mobility in the cold air of Ann Arbor as a collegiate giant???
That very well may be, but I have already issued an apology and stated commitment to refrain from further discussion.

So I am absolutely adamant about resolute refrainment from commenting on the blog news about the unimaginable hurdles involved in booking a ticket from Bangkok to Tokyo on All Nippon Airways (or "Air Nippon Airlines," as he affectionately refers to the carrier in his blog).

I will also refrain discussion to honor your altruism towards the journeyman. Let's move along and return to topics related to your vast knowledge of world geography. Inquiring minds will have their thirst slaked in the Halle final thread if you will so graciously give us your take on the Hamburg vs Bayreuth rivalry brewing in the GW Open battle for the vacated Stososov throne.

I don't know anything about the Stososov tabourette vacancies, but I am sure the Mayer cronies have the whole thing covered. Uphill battle for the talented volksrussische.

Holding on to the Thiem dream tightly.

Lets see I got the Wimby draw premonition:
Z gets Berdy R32, then fresh poking youngsters Thiemerer vs Z fight for QF, which will be a Sunday park player repeat
I am not sure about all those museum draw intricacies (Federer usually buys the cake), but I can tell you that Thiem does seem to stand out against the backdrop of the usual Anglo-Germanic inbreeding mediocracy.

Agh. You are a Romanov at heart.

Reminds you of a typical 3.5 sunday park player standing on top of the net looking for easy volley. Half-decent topspin lob makes those types look stupid every time.
Can't say I have ever watched a 3.5 Sunday park player. Better things to do than watch them. Feel sorry for anyone who would like to make them look stupid, let alone play them competitively.
Not sure I would even try to embarrass a Bud 4.5.
