As long as Zverev doesn't win a Grand Slam, it's normal to consider him less good than 1 Slam winner like Cilic, Thiem, Delpotro... or Johansson.
But as said in another thread, he is probably the best slamless player ever, maybe with Rios.
The moment he wins his 1st Grand Slam, he'll be greater than all those players with 1 Slam, because he has achieved many other things (gold medal, 2 WTF, 6 Masters on different surfaces, 19 tournaments) Only his performances this year in Turin and Tokyo will make him better than every 1 Slam winners, once/if he fianlly wins one...

Johansson is not the worst ever major winner, IMO. That honor most likely goes to Gaudio or someone from the early days of the AO when it wasn't as important as it is now.

Gaudio wasn't that bad, come on. He still won plenty of other titles and made a lot of finals before and after he won his Grand Slam. He beat Nadal twice on clay (before Nadal's first RG, but still), and he played the WTF twice. Even reached the Semifinals in 2005 (although Federer double-ballged him LOL)

Gaudio bageled uninjured Rafa on clay AND made him break all seven racquets, now of that's not a mythical achievement I don't know what is.

Gaudio was a great talent on clay.
His problem was his mind, he had not confidence on himself, very unstable.
