Hi!

Does anybody see a pro tour with more blue paint like this? Is this a real pro tour? I saw it in a classifield site so i haven't got another or higher res pic. Btw it is sold.

Also lacking the decal "TOUR SERIES".
Could be from a forgotten minor series. think about Pro Lite

Here's another Head racket painted with PT-colors, just arranged in another way:
image.jpg

And another one:
11489103467869.jpg

And a third one
5p1230250.jpg

None of them is Pro Tour, Not even lite or XL.

That should be enough to show the point.
We shouldn cry wolf each time we see blue&black stick.

Maybe you are right but the racquets you show us have way more different mold and string pattern. The Trisys Pro 630 does not just looks like a PT630 because of its colour.

I will be getting this strange "trisys pro 630" and send pictures and specs. Curious about this frame. Saw one other a few weeks ago but was too afraid of it being a scam.. now i am more curious then afraid..

Omg there are even 2 different versions of this china trisys pro 630. One has just "constant beam" on the right where it belongs (but no "tour series"on the left) and the other version neither of those 2. Interesting.

Hey i got obe of the 2 rackets already but my kitchen scale is not working. Need new batteries. The one thing i can tell is that it is hwad heavy.. not equal balance but really head heavy. I guess 3-4 points.. so that means it has to be alot lighter than the real pt 630.. but it is made in austria. So 2 surprises

1) head heavy 3 points i guess
2) made in austria

Wtf??
I will post detailed pics along with the weight tomorrow.

Unfortunately my inageshack demo expired and i cant post any more puctures.

But it is 302 grams LIGHT with strings and overgrip. So i guess 285 g unstrung. So 40g lughter tgan the real pt630. Nonetheless since i likecequal balance or slight head heavy frames i could just put lead at the throat to make it more stiff feeling and/or lead at the handle and a heavier basegrip to make it 315-320 strung and SW of 330-350. Should play fine but not like pt630..

http://www.imagebam.com/ is a good image sharing site you should try it. What about the beam width (20 - 21 - 22)? 302g is almost the same that the Vamp Tour 630 i have with string and overgrip without a base grip. It would be interesting to know what code is in the hairpin under the pallet.

Beam is alot like the pro lite xl i have. I have a pro tour xl and will compare.

Beam is just a little thicker and rounder than prestige tour 660.
Also at the throat the trisys pro 630 is a little thinner and less boxy than the graphite tour 600. Prestige most boxy. Graphite tour 600 is more boxy at the throat but the same beam from 9-03 as trisys pro 630.

I will send pictures. I dont know if it is worth getting a 2nd trisys pro 630 for 30 euro.. what do you think..

I guess it is kind of like a pro lite tour.. how head heavy is the pro lite ?
The vamp tour should be shorter than standard lenght btw..

I just checked and the Vamp tour is 2 mm shorter than my zebra so you are right i never checked it before.

2mm is not much though. The old head women rackets were even shorter between 5mm and 1cm shorter. I think my lady pro racket is around 8-10 mm shorter but i didnt measure it.

One other thing i could find was the code on the head bumper. Tk 55A.. but i think i have seen this on radical tour, graphite tour also.

So is TK 55A not a special code?
Is it like the handle pallet codes that can fit many rackets?

Awesome! Even though it says designed in Austria on it, it made in Austria. It has the white barcode sticker on the inside of the throat. Also the Austrian label in the grip. If you take a closeup of it I can tell you when it was made.
What closeup details would tell the story?

Is this the same as the green Lite Tour? I've got a green one that says Made In Austria though, but the bumper and beam width seem very similar.

Yes, I think it should be the same...maybe the green one was marketed in Europe and the blue in USA.
VS certainly know it [emoji6]

I'm in Canada though.

I think it is not possible for a racket of 20 years ago to be in USA/Canada even if originally marketed for Europe.
Anyway mine was only an hypothesis, since I live in Europe and I've always seen for sale the green one here.
I'm sure a much expert poster than me will give you a definitive answer soon.

That's completely possible. I've never actually seen another Lite Tour in person, so it may have been a one-off thing.

I managed to pickup a great condition Head PT630 in this tiny little tennis shop in Tokyo late last year! I managed to talk them down to 8500 yen - which is about $110 aussie dollars.
It was like walking into a little tennis wonderland - they had all these classic racquets for sale at great prices. I could only choose one though and ended up with the PT630!:D

The used Japanese market is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

It was a little tennis shop near Shibuya station, about 5 minutes walk in the quieter side of the station.
It was a great find, only noticed it because we were staying nearby!
PM me the details please as I will be there in April/May, and will bring an empty tennis bag with me ;)

I recently tried PT630 from friend of mine and I was simply thrilled how it felt and played so I bought myself one.
Best racquet I played with by far.
I also replaced old base grip with Prince ResiPro and now it is in perfect shape
Here is the beauty:

However, there was annoying rattling noise inside racquet frame, so I took off the butt cap and removed stuff from inside. I am not sure what this is. Do you have any idea perhaps?

That is drill flash, pieces of graphite left over from drilling grommet holes. Completely normal and quite common. They can come loose when hitting and begin rattling.

They just arrived so I just took some random pictures.

I know it is a different thread but as I just wanted to drop some photos without taking notes, I thought it would be funny to revive another 630 thread.

so for those of you who do not follow the Cult of pt57, these are both personal stock custom handle pt630 I. Prestige pj from Gustavo Kuerten.

I haven't removed the cap to see as the lead tape seems to be loose without glue, so I'm afraid it will fall before I test it with Guga's specs. It feels so freaking heavy even for shadowing without strings!!! It has a extraterrestrial SW!!

I finally found a Lite Tour 630, made in Austria. It's not in a great condition, but I always wanted to see if it the lite version would play as nicely as the Pro Tour. It does, even with ancient nylon strings :) Plus I really like the fact I can customize it up, to where I like it, rather then deal with too beasty (for my taste) Pro Tour.

So far, I only added total of 10g on the butt and yoke, an overgrip and a rubber band. Might be just fine like that...

What grommets fit on Tours, again? IG Prestige and Radical?

I played some very light relies with my kid, wall and serves. It performs very nicely. Surprisingly, when I measured everything, it came to 308g, 34.7cm balance (slightly HH) and 329 SW! The length is few mm below standard 68.6cm.
Now, that SW is not what I was hoping for... With poly or gut/poly and head guard that's not all chewed up and thin, it would easily jump into 335-ish. Practically, the thing is a Pro Tour with no weight in the handle...

I just had a great hit with a bunch of classic HEAD racquets. Elite Pro, Elektra Pro, Prestige Classic 600, PT57e, and a couple PT630s that my hitting partner brought. I had never hit with a retail Pro Tour 630 before. All I can say is wow. The hype is justified. What a magnificent racquet.

There was someone else that found a Trisys Tour in blue. That wasn't sold in the USA. It seems to be a Europe only release. Not much info on it.

After using 16x19 patterns exclusively decided to pick up a PT630 and give it a shot. Main reason the stellar comments on feel (I have used a TGK 231.3 and 231.5) and that despite the dense patter, it still generates impressive spin. Been a guy who likes to tune his rackets I started the process. My ball park specs are 340-350 grams SW 340, 5-6 HL balance. I was targeting the SW....well the racket (been a MIA one) came is with a SW of 310 strung and already at 343grams... Had to drive it all the way to 372gram with a 6.5HL balance and 342 SW. I really look forward to hitting with it and see if and how I will handle the additional 20-30 grams of what I am normally accustomed to...

I have played with slightly heavier than 350gr frames before but never with such a sledge hammer... :)

You can do it.

Playing around with your grommets- whether they are CAP or Radical and your base grip (leather = heavier, some synthetics can be much lighter) you can reduce or increase your starting spec to what you want/need. The grommet situation makes the PT a unique platform.
