Angrily pummeling the air doesn't look all that imposing

Go turn pro tomorrow, dont wait. We will be watching the rigurous training! If I were a tennis pro training every day I'd beat Nadal on my own will. He wouldn't be able to break me down like he does with all these pigeons. I'd make him my dog

I don't know, the point to get to deuce right now looked pretty beast to meIt seems Nadal is playing just well enought to be on top. Clearly not Beast Mode Nadal.
He's playing Mr. Gamesmanship himself, though.Shapovalov is so annoying. He knows you can't ask for a first serve just because the chair checks a mark. That is ridiculous. I just can't stand this guy's gamesmanship. Between crap like this and him taking MTO's for massages before his opponent's serve... just gross.
What is it about Nadal's game that on clay which makes it difficult for players to hold or break him?
There have been lots talks about this. There is always positives and negatives. Why don't we ask the top 150 players and ask what is fair? The Majors have it right... We want to know who the best is in a reasonably fair draw system, not who has played 1/3 less matches over the last 6 days
He's playing Mr. Gamesmanship himself, though.
Well yes everyone who takes more time than allowed is cheatingHow is Nadal doing gamesmanship? Slow serving? Hell, I've been a proponent of the zero-tolerance/no recovery time/shot-clock on serves for years. But half the tour serves outside of the current boundary right now. I'm all for fixing slow serving in the ATP, but it needs to be enforced completely fairly and without exception.

What age did Nadal win his first slam and was beating Federer on a constant basis? At least om clayPeople forget that Shapovalov is just 19. Give him time. At 19 you don't dominate tennis. You keep evolving.

Not rafas fault
Good stuff from the King. The QF is quite unpredictable as we don't know which version of Fognini will show up. Maybe a very motivated one as we're in Rome after all.
But RAFA has also used MTOs for gamesmanship.Half of the tour (including Shapovalov) might be slow-serving... but half of the tour does not do the additional things that Shapovalov does. Shapovalov's style of gamesmanship is usually only done by a small percentage of wankers.

His intensity. The first shot that comes after the serve is usually the one that sets up the point.

Fed fans complaining about the competition... Federer is the first to blame for this, he is the world no 1, Nadal's main rival and he doesn't participate in tournaments not because of health issues, just that he doesn't want to. I don't think it would've been too much for Roger to play just Rome and Rg or affect his chances at Wimbledon, but I guess he knows better. No need to be so defensive. Didn't say anything about fault. It's the competition's fault for being so weak.
