The slam race is one of the only current interesting happenings in tennis right now due to depleted fields rife with mediocrity and ineptitude.

So I don't blame people being into/invested in the slam race. You can be into it without losing sleep over it.
My life will have no meaning if Murray doesn’t go on a 18 slam winning run and eclipses Federer.

1) Del Potro ( he is playing well on clay since he last did it so many years ago, and is one of the few, who can beat Nadal here, if his own game is on. Fully expect Nadal to start complaining about time wasting, if the match is not going well, if they meet :D)

2) Cilic ( he is also playing well, and lifting the trophy will show that he has become a true all-rounder)

3) Diego (heart, nuff said)

4) Djokovic ( would be quite a story, after his struggles, and he seems to be playing himself into form)

5) Zverev (if he reaches that far he will be the biggest thing since at least Nadal)

6) Cecchinato (he will instantly become a legend in Italy, and his life will be changed forever)

7) Thiem (mindless ballbasher, with boring game)

8) ABTN

1. Nadal (I want his RG record to be totally unassailable)
2. Del Potro
3. Cecchinato (would be hilarious for this guy to beat PCB, Goffin, Djokovic, Zverev/Thiem and Nadal all in a row)
4. Thiem
5. Djokovic
6. Zverev
7. Schwartzman
8. Cilic (getting bored of this guy)

Isn’t Nadal’s record already totally unassailable?
Or are you afraid Federer may break it in 2028, after he decides to come back to play clay?

I wouldn't say it is! I reckon most people thought Sampras' Wimbledon record would stand for decades if you asked them in 2000. I want the big 4 collectively to set themselves apart and have records which people will still be trying to break when I'm old, to prove just how special they really are. We've had a really special time for tennis with 3 of the greatest players the world has ever seen playing alongside each other, and another guy who in other eras would probably have won 6-10 majors (a conservative estimate for if the big 3 were never born would be 16).

And I'm not afraid of Federer achieving good results at all! He's my second favourite player!

You rooting for Thiem in a Thidal final then? :p

I want Domi to win soooo badly, I know it’s a hopeless wish but I can dream.
Where were you when everybody talked **** and didnt believe in Thiem two years ago?
You did not support us? Ive been on the Thiem train since I joined this forum. It was a part of me coming here as I was fed up w the same guard for so long.
That time I really believed in Thiem and Coric.

I wasn’t here two years ago.

I’ve always liked Thiem, he can be a bit brainless sometimes but to me he’s probably the sweetest and nicest player on tour.

Hopefully Sunday will be the coronation of the new king! :p

Who made you in charge of the Thiem Train? o_O I’ve always had a soft spot for Thiem, definitely my new favorite when Fed and Mury GOAT retire.

I think Meles is the leader of the Thiem Train? ;):D
He is the leader yes, but think Im one of the few that didnt leave. Meles doesnt have time for all the drama around ticket sales :p
And btw i can be on more than one train at the same time, im a ghost and can do anything:p On the Sasha train too.
