Pulled these two old timers from under the stairs. IG Speed 300’s. Stuck 6g of lead at 3 and 9 and tail weighted with tac to 340. Pacific overgrip and vibra dampeners. Flex in the high 50’s. Looking forward to taking them out on the clay tomorrow.

These were really good racquets, and a great thing about them was that they were available with CAP grommets.
What would it take for Head to make CAP grommets available for the current Speed MPs, which are awesome?
how do they play with the leather?My current frames.

Sold them a while ago but from what I can remember the leather added 8g and made them more headlight. Nice frames but a little thick for my tastes...

are those HPS 6.1 and N6.1s 16x18 or 18x20? i've only ever used the 16x18s but pulled the trigger on the 2017 18x20 frames for giggles. problem is...i never liked 18x20 patterns but the 16x18 was just a bit erratic at times.

Yes, It's a limited edition from last year.
Indeed, It's a hard to find racquet and I was lucky to have bought from the Australian TW store. (Tennisonly) .

Yes 2 Hyper Pro Staff 6.1, and 5 Ncodes (my favorite) and all 18x20. I had one 16x18 but prefer the 18x20.

I've just bought 2 of the 2017 18x20 models. Unbelievable frames. What have you got yours strung with?
That's good news. I used to have the 2014 models in 16x18 as well and they were solid. I havent received my rackets yet. i'm planning on volkl cyclone 1.20mm strung somewhere between 40-45lbs

I currently have Prince Synthetic Gut 16 Mains and Solinco Tour Bite Diamond Rough 17 crosses strung at 46. It seems to be a really nice tension. I may even attempt to go lower/higher next time.
strung one up last night with cyclone 1.20mm at 42#. i have a strong feeling these might pull me away from my current rackets, but we'll see!

Hybrids just seem to work real nice in these classic frames. Something about the way the ball sinks into the strings on every shot.
