I will be selling my ASL if anyone’s interested. I am just so used to my TC90s and TC95s, that 100” feels too much for me.

So, my fellow connoisseurs! Help me pick out my next string. I need to use these up first and a few reels of RS, Oehms and Cyclone that I have been "hoarding" before I can get any more strings, the bosswoman says.
Alu power offcourse!

Where is this cube string? :)
The whole package arrived at my office and I took the Cube set to be put in one of my other TC97 directly from the office to the stringer. The other two Grapplesnake sets are still sitting in my office desk. Forgot to bring them home.

The feedback and marketing description make me curious. Better it not to be just another generic poly string

Will there be any review ASL vs TC100, though? :)

Not a fair comparison, because TC100, the one I had in the closet is V2 with hefty SW347 and RA60 strung. ASL is less demanding, swings faster and is probably better suited for modern game. But then again what is modern game? [emoji4] I am so used to that lower flex and ball staining longer on the strings, that it took time to adapt to crisper and more direct response of ASL. No doubt it is good racquet, the power and comfort is definitely there.

I wasn't even least bit impressed after an hour of hitting, to be honest. I hope it can make me change my mind today but kinda doubt it. So far it comes off as a typical run-of-the-mill super stiff, harsh feeling, square (ish) poly. Amazing spin but terrible feedback. Would take your arm off in a stiffer racquet if strung tight, for sure.

I haven't heard much about it in terms of marketing here in the US. I got it only after reading about it here on TT. Only three types of strings available here too and I can't get them 'officially' till next month. I think US distribution is very small term as of right now. Has it picked up in Europe a lot?

Prince Tour XC 1.35 going in on all my Angell racquets since everything is open pattern. The idea is to offset the open pattern and test all of them with a wider poly

If anyone is shopping I have two TC95 18x20's to sell. Just need to pull up the specs. Rackets are in great condition. I also have one TC90 that's like new. All L3 size grips, Prince shape IIRC, shape B.

I would like to exchange one of my Angells, TC95 or TC100, with a K7Lime. Maybe both, if the Lime is in mint conditions.
L4 or L3, preferably L4.

I may pull the trigger next week to buy a TC100, I have a big question: Which orange colored string or copper colored string that perform best to TC100?

Playtesting my APD 2010 and PAT and from there, I'll choose either 300g/325 or 310g/315 would work best for me.

For a minute, I was going to say Firestorm since that has a copper color, but thats a powerful poly. In general, it depends on your playstyle and preference when it comes to strings. TC100 is a decent powerful racket, I would use a co poly to give it a bit of control.

Thanks, currently testing Signum Pro Poly Plasma, also bought Wilson Revolve and test before buying TC100. My go to string currently is RS Lyon and reading good reviews on that string for TC100

Prince Tour XC 1.35 testing has been pulled back a bit. Already sold my TC100 and K7 string barely has 2 hours on it so It’s ASL and one of my TC95s for the ride. Should have them back in time to hit on Friday

SPPP fits the colour, however, it is a bit dead for me. But when I hybrid mains SPPP and Co-Focus crosses - it works great.
Are you testing Revolve Spin or regular Revolve?

Regular Revolve since the spin don't have orange in TW site, and staying away to shaped string because it splits grommets, or so to what I read so far.

i think i gel better with the TC100 63RA than the K7 Red these days, so i am very tempted to get another pre-loved TC100 63RA (original spec - V2, 16x19, 300g, 325mm, L3, grip A).
let me know if there is one floating around... lol
i think i'd happy to exchange/sell the K7 Red too....

There is one close to your specs in EU sales thread, only balance is slightly more HL and B4 handle. :)

Thanks, i saw that the other day.
i remembered it was difficult to get spare pallets for the TCs.... otherwise it'd be a good option as i am in the UK.

edit - just read that again and realised it was your advert. not too concerned about the static weight and head balance as my current TC100 has been modified thanks to @saleem. i am more concerned about the grip size and shape as i am a 4 3/8 + OG and used to use a Head racket for quite a long time previous to the Angells.... :)

Lol I have 3 matched TC95s so just one of them will be included in the wider string experiment. Overall frames included will be TC95, TC100, ASL and K7
Interesting. I have a pack of XC laying around that I've never thought to use. But the TC100 needs new strings so maybe I'll give it a go as well.

Guys, does anyone know the thickness of Angell leather grip? And also, has anyone tried the Angell hybrid grip, how thick is it and how does it compress compared to leather? :)

What are the main disadvantages of using thicker string? Less feel? Less spin, smaller sweet zone?

All things equal so if it is the same string just thicker, it will feel less lively. The gauge of the string should be a decision based on the spacing of the string bed and each players comfort with it. So if an open pattern and you want to have more control then go thicker is one way. In a closed pattern, you may want the opposite and open spaces between strings so you go thinner. It should also affect launch angle a bit with thicker having a bit less.

TC95s are on my desk. :) I thought head size will be smaller. Seems more like 97-98in. That's good news for me, I need forgiveness.

Another question, if I'm stringing my TC100 in range of 22-23 kg, what tension shall I used for TC95? 20-21 kg?

I had a practice today playing TC100 strung with firewire at 22/21kg. It was nice. Hope it lasts good time.

start with rslyon or silverstring if you have a pack of it. around 46lbs (20.8kg)

So, here is how K7 Lime stands strung with 17G Kirshbaum Pro Line II and Solinco Hyper-G hybrid @21/20kg.
Weight 347g
(Strings +16g, Angell Hybrid Grip +9g, Overgrip +5g, dampener +2g)
Balance 313mm
SW 321
Flex 64RA
RDC String-bed stiffness 59
ERT-300 dynamic tension 36
Recoil weight 166
Mgr/I 21.15

String spacing looks the same as on 18m both TC97 and TC95. And why would it be different when they all share the same grommets. However the hoop of K7 Lime is ~2mm wider and ~2mm shorter than TC95’s and TC97’s. Could be just because it’s freshly strung!? Tension is the same, but different strings. Will check later again when strings settle in.
#3 grip runs bigger than on custom line.

Hopefully I’ll get some court time to hit with it tomorrow. After that I plan to add some weight at 3 and 9.

2 grams of lead at 12 o'clock would add how much of swingweight in K7 Lime?
