I Think it was... I had an hour hit with yellow velocity which is my favorite multi at the moment since staying away from poly... yellow velo nice cosmetics on this racquet island added plus.. after todays hit didnt hhaven't elbow/arm/wrist/shoulder pain... so far so good
Probably the full poly. I played 8 hours last weekend (over a 24 hour period - 2 hour of ball machine and 6 hours of singles/rallying). No arm issues whatsoever on Monday/Tuesday. Last night, I played with my poly setup and no elbow issues but wrist has some soreness.

Had a good hour of heavy hitting tonight and I am leaning towards the frame with 2 total grams at 2 and 10. Just start the lead at the second cross and go up. Super easy, keeps the whip of the frame yet adds some punch to the ball. The racquet is coming through very nicely like this - highly recommend.
Did you try it with 3g total at 10 and 2 as well? I’m curious how that played and how it compares to 2g total.

I did. And I still have one frame set up with that. I think the 3 grams does not add that much power, and it does slow the frame down a bit. I know that seems wild - just 1 gram, but it makes a difference.

Here is what I notice about this frame - the further down past the corners you put your lead, the more sluggish it is.

My next test is to do 3 grams starting at the 2nd cross instead of the 3rd. So just like my 2 gram setup, just with the weight more towards 12. That should end the experiment for me. I am already thinking the way to go is 2 grams, but since I’m going to put the lead under the grommets, I’d like to try a few different things out first.

Arm issues are tough to diagnose, but the main question you will have to ask yourself - are you arming your shots, are you using your wrist or arm to generate spin, and are you late to the ball a lot?

I am using max power rough and it’s been working out really well. No arm pains at all. This frame feels really, really good at contact. It has no vibrations, and is nice and solid. I love that about it. So the good news is, imo, this frame should be good on the arm for the majority of players. That said, arm pain is weird and there are always outliers - another one is over use. Using multis for now is a good move though.

I went back to Tourna grip due to the summer heat, and I have to say - I forgot how amazing this stuff is. The main reason I bring it up is because it’s so thin. If you replaced your Yonex grip with leather or something where you don’t want the grip size to get too big, it really keeps that bevel feel perfectly. And on this frame, the blue color actually works alright as well.

Are your strips, starting at the second cross and going up, 2 inches in length assuming you're using 1/4" width? Guess it's more of a 11 and 1 location at that point, though with the isometric shape hard to tell. Look forward to trying this.

Yes. Yesterday, i kept reminding myself to make sure (i) pay attention to timing (ii) loose arm and wrist and not tighten the grip too much. I think it's not frame's fault at all... if it were the stick i would have TE flare back up.. i can't feel anything today which is great... I honestly think I went little hard-core the other week...

I’ve noticed the same thing. Put some weight at 3 and 9 and it threw off my timing and I was a little late at contact.

Do you notice much of a difference between having 2g at 12 vs 10/2?

I like the feel better and it seems a little faster through the air. It basically feels perfect with 2 grams there. Like if they sold the frame like this, people would love it. In my biased opinion. I say this because its still very easy to swing. Not too heavy and easy to control.

Also find this the best setup, 2 grs around fhe 2nd cross is like 11&1 (2.6 sw per gram) and with dampener it comes to around 330SW (317 + 2.6 x 4 + 2) which also matches when measured and calculated by the TW swing weight tool. I also tried with 1.25 grams and it was also very good but preferred little more stability. More than 330 sw becomes a little heavy for longer games and obviously less manuerable, for me at least, tried 2.5 grams but didnt enjoy it as much. Amazing what a few grams can do...

No, but I plan to tomorrow.

Mine is 2 total grams, not 4 grams split up. So it would be 2.6x2 plus 2 in my case.

Experiment is over for me - 2 total grams on the frame at 2 and 10 is the winner. Anything more than that kind of seemed like overkill. The frame plays incredible with that basic setup and a leather grip. Feels fantastic, has good plow and I can still swing fast. So this is basically a bit of a touch up from the stock frame, nothing crazy, but it really makes the racquet play at it's best for me.

So how are serves? The TW playtesters seem to say it doesn’t serve big but accurate so they hit their spots

Ive been taking care of my shoulder and not serving in the past few weeks. But that said, serving with this frame was really easy. I didnt have any issues with power. It honestly has really nice power to it for a thin beam frame.

Not all thin beams are created equal. My TC95s are 20mm beam as well but Thor’s hammer on serve

You wont get big serving power off this stick but I find a good access to spin and power on mine. I hit a lot kicks and flat serves and found my serve improving with this racquet.

So 1g each at 2 and 10 (2g of lead total) or this is 2g each at 2 and 10 (4g of lead total)?

Which number cross is 2 and 10 for you?

Just got back from my first time hitting with the VCORE pro, which is actually my first time ever hitting with a Yonex frame. I just recently joined the club of people that loved playing with the PS one7 16x19, but my elbow does not. At first I didn’t want to blame the frame, but it’s now getting progressively worse every time I play. I took 2 weeks off from playing to let my elbow heal, but then after another outing with it my elbow was again sore so I’ve determined it’s time to move on.

I had replaced the grip on my PS with a Wilson shock shield, added 6g to the hoop, and 3g of blue tac in the buttcap. Finished static weight I was playing with was 347g and 7pt HL. It was still not enough to tame the harshness from off center hits.

I was able to get the 310 and 330 from my local shop to demo. I took them out today and hit off the ball machine. Strung weight on my demos with OG and dampener was 333g and 351g and both are around 7pt HL. Both are strung with a hybrid of Gamma Moto and TNT @ 53lbs, although one was strung 10/18 and the other 2/19 (the downside to demos).

I started off with the 330 since static weight and balance was very close to my PS. However, after only hitting one hopper of forehands, my forearm was already tired which tells me even though weight and balance were close, the swingweight on the 330 is definitely higher than what I’m used to playing with. It’s a really solid and stable frame in stock form, but I have to be honest with myself and I just don’t have the arm strength to swing it right now. With only being able to play once or twice a week at this point in my life, I just think it’s too much stick for me personally, but seems like a really nice frame if you can handle it.

So I then switched to the 310 and finished the rest of my hitting session with it. Obviously honeymooning, but I sure enjoyed playing with it. I just found it to be a really well rounded frame. Good feel and control, decent spin, and I could swing out without worrying about it sailing long. I really enjoyed volleying with it and served well with it also.

One thing became apparent to me today. A frame like this forces me to have better mechanics which I think is a good thing. I started playing with the PD for awhile last summer, and I developed a bad habit of not swinging all the way through the ball. It got better once switching to the PS, but after hitting with the VCORE pro today I can tell I still haven’t been using full strokes as I should. I think it’s due to fear of hitting long because those frames provide so much free power. And I simply didn’t need to because they provide power even on less than full strokes. But I really enjoyed getting back to a frame like this that lets me swing with full strokes and not have to worry so much about hitting long.

I will definitely be hitting with the 310 some more, but at this point I’m really close to making the switch. If anything it could maybe use a few grams of lead in the upper hoop for some more plow, but I wouldn’t want to add too much because I really enjoyed its maneuverability in stock form. Before committing, I think I’m also going to demo the VCORE 98 and maybe the Ezone 98.

Glad the Vcore 97's are still going strong. While this one didn't work for me, I'm a huge fan.
Btw, does anyone have an original red Vcore Tour 97 310 they would part with? DM me

@BHold81, I have 2 origina red vcore tour 97... but 330g
I've always preferred the 310 versions that I could customize to suit, so I'll probably hold off for a red 310. Though I did use to play with the red 330, and it's a very nice racquet. I may have to give the Pro 330 a hit after all the good reviews.

Here is the lead placement for the 310. With the thin TW leather grip, the frame is exactly 320 grams unstrung with the grommet back on. I would estimate the SW to be 325-330 based on feel.

I loved the frame in stock form, but this setup really refines it and maximizes the light, whippy nature of the racquet without slowing it down. Honestly, any thing past this seemed like more lead than needed. Also the leather grip just maximizes the feel of the frame.

I never added weight to a racquet before.
What is the difference between applying the weight to the outside vs inside.

For me it keeps the lead from falling off the frame (that’s happened multiple times to me), and looks a lot cleaner.

I really dont like heavily modifying frames, or modding frames in general, but the 310 is so nice that it was worth the extra few weeks of testing to get it dialed in.

What's the final balance of your potentially 330SW 320g 310s?

I have been playing more with this stick.. Just more of the same... mindless control...awesome pop. very stable.. it's little tricky for OHBH but it pushes me to figure it out. love affair continues...
thinking of ordering a second one to follow @Power Player setup for comparison. I just need to 100% sure that arm is happy with it. So far so good.

A touch over 2 inches. It’s 4 inches total, cut in half for each side and then split in half for application.

Just tested out the 2g total setup at 10/2 o’clock over the weekend. Definitely better than stock.

Still not sure if I like it better than my 1.5g at 12 o’clock set-up. Will test again later this week and post feedback.

with total of 4gr at 11&2 and dampener, replacement grip and OG, mine is 340gr and 328-330SW and 5HL. with only 2 grams total at 10&2, it is like to be close to 325SW and more than 5HL.

Balance on mine is more like 7 pts due to the leather grip so I think you are right. Also I think with the 16 gauge strings, the Sw is more like 328. I have some 16 gauge strings in one now and that frame weighs 2 grams more than the one with 17 gauge.

I think your numbers are pretty much dead on though. At the end of the day, I really just went by feel and results to get to this setup.

I’m selling my 330 since I think my “320” model is the best of both worlds for my swing speed.

May use that money to try a similar frame like a Head Gravity or maybe new Wilson Blade while I wait on the new version of these , but I’m real happy with this frame now so it’s back to playing tennis for me.

I ended up deciding to pick up a vcore pro 310. I have to admit, I’m impressed with the QC. My local shop only had one of them in my grip size in stock, so I took a chance without measuring it while I was there. I never would have done this with a Babolat or Wilson due to past experiences, but decided to on this one due to all the good things I’ve read regarding Yonex’s QC. When I got home and checked it, weight and balance are both spot on. So hopefully if I end up deciding to pick up some more, they will be close as well.

I actually didn’t even try any other frames. I have a hard time with demos. They are never in my grip size, the same strings have been in them for 6-12 months and aren’t even strings I would typically use. Then depending on the manufacturer, the specs of the demo may be nowhere near the frame you end up buying.

So I decided to just buy one and play with it for awhile and if it doesn’t work out I’ll just sell it. I had to switch to something besides the PS because it’s destroying my elbow. My elbow is still sore at this point so I am going to take some time off again and let it heal before hitting the court again.

In the meantime, I could use some string/tension recommendations. I currently have reels of Grapplesnake Alpha and YPTP 1.20. Due to the elbow pain, I also recently bought some gut. I picked up a set of Klip Legend 17g and 16g, and then also bought some VS 16g during last week’s sale. So at this point, I’m leaning towards either a full bed with the Klip 17g until my arm is completely healed, or a hybrid of 16g gut and 17g YPTP. Thoughts/suggestions?

Why couldn’t you stand it?
I felt completely disconnected from the ball. I was shocked. i thought I would love it, but I didn't jive with it at all. Every other Vcore 97 before it was great as far as feeling connected, especially the 310's. But I am glad so many other people have liked it. Still a huge Yonex fan.

Odd. Different strokes for different folks though. For me, the vcp97 is one of the few sticks that literally feel like an extension of my arm. The only other stick that gives me this feeling is my modded Ultra Tour.

I've been playing with Vcore pro 310g version for few months and love how it play but now I'm starting feel pain on my shoulders when serving or hitting 2hbh. Switched from angell tc97 and didn't have any pains with that racquet. Im using double overgrip (no replacement grip at all) and völkl cyclone string (strung 24kilos)with the vcore. Do you think I can make my vcore enough comfortable by modifying my grip / strings? I really wouldn't like to switch to a different racquet.

The lower swing weight of the VCP97 310 might be causing you to swing harder or alter your swing technique when serving. Measure your VCP97's specs and see if they match up with your TC97?
