If he wins this title he would have to beat Djokovic. Any player that beats him here deserves that title. If Federer wins this title it will be so undeserved. Millman choked 3 times in that fifth set. 3 times!!! When he was up a break, when he missed an easy second serve return on BP and of course on the tie break.
If this choker Millman is a tough draw then what is Nadal's USO 2019 draw then? (he faced him in the first round!)So will we continue to hear about Federer's weak draw?
Don't ever read these boards while watching it on a stream, lol!DUDE.. I read this at 6-4.
AND I WONDERED IF YOU DIDNT KNOW IF IT WAS A SUPER TIEBREAK
OR WHETHER MY STREAM WAS DELAYED
so I stoppped refreshing the forum.
and Millman got to 8-4, and I was sure it was over and you were calling MP at 9-4.
AND FEDERER WON!!!!
JESUS CHRIST WHAT A RUSH.
What upsets? Tsitispas is an overhyped next gen. Fed is still 39.
Djokovic still won. There is no upset really.
Federer isn't winning if it goes to 5 sets. He crumbles under the pressure when it goes to 5. He has to win in 3 or 4.
Fucsovics in 3.
Nick was cheering for Millman.
What a prediction . Are you sure you are not associated with any bookiesFed wins a 5th set superbreaker after saving two match points.
Fed is horrible. Officially done on HC is he loses this?
The Wimb loss broke him. Hasn't been the same since.
Fed is officially not great to watch anymore.
Better to lose now, honestly. Tired of him being Novak's b!tch.

Yeah...the worst kind of fan possible
Even by your standards it was pretty low. Whenever I read comments like that it's basically saying "be passive, don't fight and just let Federer completely dominate you". Makes zero sense to me.Yeah I'm really known for being classy
Amazing how much Fed has improved as a player since last year's USO.
He should be happy if he reaches QF and SF too.Nick could get to the final and face Djokovic. It might finally be his time IMO. I mean he won't beat Novak but he can at least make his first slam final.
82 UFEs from fed.literally zero trust in Fed here, zero.
you really have the guts to call yourself his fan?
Lol, that balance is still really negativeCongrats to Fed fans, they deserve this after so many 40-15s.
It is still a weak draw. That doesn't change just because Fed sucked. So will we continue to hear about Federer's weak draw?
I do overreact, but I do have zero trust in Fed after Wimb 2019 and a tough win over a journeyman won't change that.literally zero trust in Fed here, zero.
you really have the guts to call yourself his fan?
This was beneath you t_p.
I'm glad it's a super tiebreak in the 5th for just this reason, that is, exciting changes in momentum and big comebacks, not because Federer won. I think all the majors should adopt tiebreaks to 10 in the 5th.Cue the threads complaining it’s a 10 point Tb and not 7
Guaranteed

No disrespect to Millman, but anyone in the top 40 would've beaten Federer today. I hope Fed just had a bad day, but I suspect it's some injury, most likely a hand injury. He's not gonna admit it though. We know that.
You're just gonna be annoyed forever then. There won't be enough opportunities for it to be 'rectified' in that manner. Not even close to a consolation prize.

More like "look how good am I how I'm making the mighty Fed work with my fantastic play". Fight hard but know your place, the guy was smirking like he had it won throughout the entire match, karma is such a B, hopefully he'll have nightmares about this match for a long time. That was truly pathetic.Even by your standards it was pretty low. Whenever I read comments like that it's basically saying "be passive, don't fight and just let Federer completely dominate you". I did say that I will never forgive him for that loss. Being Novak's b!tch at his best slam is not something I can overlook. You're just gonna be annoyed forever then. There won't be enough opportunities for it to be 'rectified' in that manner.
He is GOAT (for the moment anyway), but this match shouldn't be presented as a reason for it.He’s the GOAT for a reason! Amazing.
Isn't it funny the difference one or two points can make? Had Federer lost tonight his fans would've been calling for imminent retirement but because he scraped through by the skin of his teeth they suddenly believe he can go all the way!Playing at this level?
Tell that to Lew lol. We're in a parrelel universe where Federer loses hypotheticals now.
You probably forgot about Shanghai 2014, Clarky.Isn't it funny the difference one or two points can make? Had Federer lost tonight his fans would've been calling for imminent retirement but because he scraped through by the skin of his teeth they suddenly believe he can go all the way!
You just gotta love the Fed fanbase at times.
Exactly! Not enough credit being given to Millman at the end of this thread. The guy came to play, pulled off some great shots, and came up short. It's not like Fed played like garbage and Millman just gave it to him from 4-8 in that tiebreak. And getting there in the first place was a function of a well executed plan by Millman. How many guys can pull that off? Very few. Good match, Millman. I only wish you played as well against the field as you do against Fed. You'd be higher ranked.
Heh, 'forgive'. Can't say I approve of that word in the slightest. 'Accept', perhaps. Anyhow, I'd perhaps agree with your general sentiment if Roger was 10 years younger.I did say that I will never forive him for that loss. Being Novak's b!tch at his best slam is not something I can overlook.
If Kygrios beats Nadal IMO he is going all the way to Novak. He will be pumped. He should be happy if he reaches QF and SF too.
I've no idea what this even means lol.More like "look how good am I how I'm making the mighty Fed work with my fantastic play". Fed wiped that stupid grin off of his face like a champ. 4-8 to 10-8 tastes sooo much better than a straight set 2 2 2 win.
Age is not to blame for that horrible choke.Heh, 'forgive'. Can't say I approve of that word in the slightest. 'Accept', perhaps. Anyhow, I'd perhaps agree with your general sentiment if Roger was 10 years younger.

Federer might win the title now. Just like it happened in Shanghai 2014. He was very, very lucky to beat Mayer, but then completely outplayed prime Djokovic (who didn't play bad by any means) in the semifinals.
