What makes this racquet so much more special than a retail PT630 or regular IGPMP? The shape is the same as is the string pattern. I’m sure there’s some people who have a PT57 and swear it’s elevated their game levels beyond what a normal Prestige ever could.

This racket has the best paint job in industry and the layup is different from both of those that you mentioned.
So, it is special for many reasons...
Not everyone will appreciate it, though

So, the podcast is tomorrow? Some of the questions were:
- Will it have the original Blue pj of the retail
- Will it have twaron
- What will be the RA
- What will be the release date

The question I have is it worth the likely $2-300 price tag on racquet that probably won’t play as well as the original Pro Tours? And wouldn’t it be better just to buy a used Pro Tour and know what you’re getting? Trust me I get the novelty of having a new racquet that maybe will look identical but not sure I’d drop that money on it if it’s not going to perform the same.

For those that question it...maybe not.
And if buying a 25 year old, multi owner frame is what you’re looking for, you should go for it.
this is the Pro Tour 2.0. No one said it will be the same as the original. (And it is not)

So they are just using the same paint job, same name essentially, and hyping them like it’s the Pro Tour 630 to sell them. And if you are so sure it’s not the same why don’t you give us some facts, so far it’s all speculation but you seem to know something.

Because TW will give you the “facts” tomorrow during the podcast. Not my job to give you the “facts”. The facts like paintjob, mold, pallet shape, string pattern, CAP...are already known.
the feel is a subjective thing and only you will know if you like it or how it compares to the original for you

Just curious what's got everyone excited about this racquet when it looks very very similar to the Wilson Ultra Tour. The release thread of the Ultra Tour looks very similar to this thread as well from two years ago.

TT forum: I don’t see why head doesn’t just release the pt630 to the public. It may not appeal to the vast majority of players but us loyal TTers would happily pay a little more for it.

Head: releases PT630 to public

TT forum:
Would be great to show solidarity and boycott the release if the price takes the Michael.

Keep setting them up...

I've bought 3 iprestiges a few days ago, so there's no way I can convince my dear wife I need a new frame.
But as we all know here, we need a new frame !!

Please do not allow folks to horde these. Otherwise, they'll be on the bay for 3x the price and none of us will ever get a chance to touch one.

Limit of 2 per customer ftw.
This will be a cheap copy of PT57A. Who is gonna flush down hundreds of $$ for multiple?
head doesn’t even have anyone good to promote them right now because they are all retired. They cannot even release the 16x19 PT57a before Andy Murray’s retirement. What a joke.

THere's no mention of the limited (or not) nature of this release. Would like to have some reviews before buying it

Beautiful paint job and the weight and balance is within my ballpark as well. However the 65 RA stiffness is a little disappointing to my taste. I would prefer the TK82S grip shape over the oldfashioned rectangular one.

The specs of the G360+ Prestige MP sounds more appealing to me with the more forgiving real 98sq inch headsize, TK82S grip pallets and the 61 RA stiffness.

Besides I still own 3 Ultra Tours that I customized to my desired specs and I doubt the PT 2.0 'll surpass these ones.

Wait until you hit with it before making up your mind
I'm not sure that hitting with it is going to make it feel any more buttery soft for anyone. 65 RA is usually the upper limit for me and I don't really associate that number with the legendary Pro Tour. So yes, a little disappointed to see that. The 360+ Prestige at the moment seems a better option than this. Great price though, will probably get one regardless.

To save me some time...

TT forum: bring back the PT630

Head: brings back PT630

TT forum: It’s not even got a sub 60RA; It doesn’t even have twaron; It doesn’t even come with a leather grip; why no 16x19?!

Insert your favourite reason to hate the racket you haven’t played with yet

You have now posted the same lame joke three times now man. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion. It is a forum afterall and we are all just discussing the racquet.

Woah dude don’t shoot the messenger. I play with a babolat so clearly my opinion shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Don’t you think Ultra Tour is a cheap copy of the H19 which is a failed copy of the PT57A.

or, in your backyard, the H22 is a cheap (chinese) copy of the Austrian Radical?

ah, yes, you already knew all that...but you shelled 10x price of the PT2.0 for that junk
