I gotta say if you want to try a sweet frame from head but can’t simply handle the weight just pull of the head gaurd and string it up w out it .
Man it helps take a bit of weight off and makes it so fun to whip around on any of those 89.5 mid comps, pros, club pros. So fun

AMF Head Professional. (Extruded aluminum)
Before my time, but my old man played with one, and when I tried it, I was amazed.
I absolutely crushed the ball with it. Serves sounded like I was hitting empty beer cans.
Stiffer than the Vector, which is also a phenomenal racket, so maybe I would have chosen the Vector over the Professional to save my arm; but I've never destroyed the ball like I did with the Red Head.

Yeah that was one stick before my time but when I tried it I hated it absolutely HATED IT! Because I played so well with it .. and I didn’t want too cuz I hate the way it looks . No offense to anyone . Mine even made an awful buzzing sound too and still it hit like a dream . I chalked it up to just “ treeing “ that day ...... but I tried it agin years later and although I didn’t hit well with it as before but could still tell it was an amazing hitter .. no question

I played with the 'Red HEAD' and remember one time the racquet slipped out of my hand while serving. The hoop bent and was slightly lopsided. I took it to my stringer who's machine stood on 3 metal legs. He pushed the racquet between the 3 legs and hit the butt hard with a mallet. The racquet came out slightly diamond shaped but at least it was now symmetrical--it still played great.

As to the main topic of this thread I am hard pressed to pick a 'favorite' HEAD classic--too many good ones.

I must say I.prestige MP with a full bed of poly @low tension is something incredible. I put radical grommets to get a mote manageable static weight, a bit of lead at 12 to bump the Sw.
Never played a mid, just bought a PC600, I’m quite intrigued

So what is the total weight of your i.Prestige MP with non-CAP grommet then (without overgrip and dampener)? Wondering if PT97E (prostock version of the same racket) would be stable and powerful enough in lighter than original iPrestige setup.

I would say that PC600 has a bit different feel, rather more similar to ProTour 630 than i.Prestige.

Also – can you compare your TC95 (63RA) to iPresige? Has only TC97 but never liked it too much.

I just got one, 98% condition incl. new matching grommets.

The TXE was the last frame I played in uni before I got out into the world and left the game.

I'll be curious to see how I can do with it. (Said report will have to wait until I'm back from my current bout with TE.)

I'm now thinking about what to string it with. The leading candidate is a good syngut, since that's about all I ever played with when I was younger. At that time, polyester was just the material fo " stylish on-court attire," not for tennis strings <hehe>.

The white TXP. It was the with the grommet strip that wrapped around the entire frame. Your strings snap below it when stringing so that they were completely shielded from any contact with the ground. It was a pretty cool system.

Yes, it’s a very cool system That’s called CAP system grommets and is still used today on HEAD Prestige racquets. Also your TXP is the same racquet as the Prestige Pro and Prestige Classic

As a naive Head Rad OS user here is my take on these sticks so far, please correct me if I am wrong.

1. Bumble Bee is the best playing in terms of feel and plow of the "yellow" themed Rad OS's.
2. Zebra and Candy Cane are the same racket.
3. The IG Youtek is the best playing in terms of feel of the "orange" themed Rad OS's.
4. The Ti Rad OS is the lightest of the orange themed Rad OS's.
5. The current MG Rad OS's are quite playable even at their low price.
6. The LM and the Flexpoint Rad OS are the same racket sans paint job.

Please expand or correct. You won't hurt my feelings.

As for the Radicals go
bumblebee is my favorite. Then next is the Zebra and candycane because they are the same racquets, and then the Ti. radical, i.Radical, MG Radical IG Radical, FXP.

I’d say the Prestige Pro/TXP Pro if anyone is seeking a classic Head frame. But for me, I’d look for an IG Prestige Mid in a nice condition. It is a sweet frame that plays as great as the classic Prestige Pro. It really is the last great Prestige. I do like the new 360+ Prestige MP and is 1000% improvement in feel (*much better than Graphene, XT & Touch Prestige), but it doesn’t feel as solid or plush as the IGPM, imo.

Wow, I can't believe I missed your response and then found it by accident!!!
There are quite a few paddle companies making paddles in the States. Players Pickleball out of Wash state is my favorite; but they are small compared to other USA manufacturers like Selkirk, Engage, Gamma(was offshore until about 3 years ago). I understand Wilson will be making their own(used to be supplied by Engage); but not sure where.
HEAD and Babolat are offshore;l but I believe are actually making their own. Prince partnered with Paddletek; so there's a bit of a tennis representation in the paddle business.

You're right that a lot of "Amazon" paddles are made by one manufacturer and branded with various(often unusual) names.

I actually still have an FP. When you hit at the very top of the bed, you can actually feel it bend back. Very odd feeling for sure.

Also the rackets were prettier, glossy irridescent. You felt like you were holding something special, the Prince MichealChang Long Body Graphite, The 90's prestige, Pro tour, beautiful
