This string offered up a little extra power but not too much and had decent comfort on full swings. Spin was average and it was easy to generate additional spin with technique. Need to play more but probably going to ordering more of these strings.

I would try to string any of our square models at the low end of the tension range that you're comfortable with. They all absorb a lot of energy. For the neon dust hybrid, remember to string the Mains 3 to 4 lb below your normal, and your crosses at your normal tension.

To provide a little background: I string my own racquets on an electronic Gamma Progression II. I've achieved a 5.0 rating early in my tennis life but am now in my retirement years therefore have slipped a bit due to age related injuries; therefore comfort is a key to my racquet set up. Currently, I'm hitting with a leaded up Wilson Clash Tour in order to minimize shock and vibration to my shoulder. I've taken a keen liking to Grapplesnake Tour Sniper in a full bed strung low at 42#. I have found that a fairly stiff string in the flexible Clash Tour slightly reduces the overly powerful aspect of the Clash and greatly helps with accuracy. I'm always looking for an extra edge comfort wise and recently strung my Clash Tour with Tour Sniper in the main and Irukandji in the crosses. I am pleased to say the Irukandji provided some welcome additional softness to the set up with Tour Sniper in the mains. I'm seriously considering switching to this set up but want to hit some more to verify my confidence. I think I found more topspin in the full bed of Tour Sniper but I'd say it was very close comparison. I did receive a bit more power in this hybrid set up yet accuracy did not suffer at all. Best of all, my shoulder seemed to really like the slight muted response that Irukandji supplied.

Now to my review of Game Changer.

As most home stringers have noted, this string has very sharp edges and not the easiest of strings to work with but this was not a game changer for me (lol......pun intended). A few positives: surprisingly comfortable string and very good pocketing for a sharp edged string. For the first 3 to 4 hours I had excellent control, decent spin but not as much as I've had with RPM Blast which I've used years ago. The major downside for me was the string loses power and feel after only a few hours as it gets stretched out easily which also causes some discomfort to my shoulder. But that's not a major problem because I string my own racquets. Weighing all factors in I'm going to stay with the Tour Sniper/Irukandji set up.

I would highly recommend Game Changer to anyone who enjoys hitting with a sharp edged string and looking for extra comfort.

I'm really pleased with the comfort level I've found hitting with Grapplesnake strings, having tested Tour Sniper, Irukandji, Game Changer and CES Neon Dust/Liquid Neon Dust hybrid..........all comfortable strings in comparison to the competition.

I don't expect many players here having tested it (if any), but, in your opinion, is there room for Grapplesnake Natural Gut, probably priced between VS and Klip, in the ~$35 area? As far as quality, I can just say that one of the biggest brands got a hold of it and tried to track down our gut supplier to essentially use our string with their brand. Kind of honored and upset about that at the same time. But, we're back on track and trying to get a feel for the market here. It's not an easy project for us, but we want to go all in with it.

If the gut , at $35, is just so-so or maybe worse than what I am using now I have wasted $35 not just the $10-15 for a manufactured plastic string. I have tried all the gut strings out on the market and that have been out on the market in the past. The gut strings I really liked are no longer in production. I have found a decent gut string now to use, until they stop making it or switch the technique they make it in now, such as Bablot with their BT 7 junk. I know this will probably cause a stir of comments about how great Babolat gut is but it is definitely not the great gut playing and feeling string pre BT 7.
The price should be less than what the other guts are being sold for. That way you will draw some sales just on price alone. The quality will either be there or not. If the quality is there the word will get out and your sales will pick up. If you sell your strings as " competitively priced" it just means the strings are basically the same price as all the others. So why spend the $35 to just to try it out? Make a better product at the best low price. Sell more and make people want your gut strings as their main string choice and not just a "might try it later" type string and string price.
Gut got really expensive a while back and some gut string companies basically priced themselves out of the market, over $55 a set. That makes people look elsewhere for a string to use. Pacific gut is a prime example. They are not here on TW and probably not anywhere in the USA as a main stocked gut string. Why price yourselves that high to begin with?

I think a current case study of this is that natural gut wholesale site that is out there. They started their highest grade of NG at $35 and now its down to about $26 but they are literally sold out of everything so it doesn't even matter. Not sure if anyone here as tried their stuff but its pretty much garbage, and it doesn't seem like they have ironed out their manufacturing process yet. This was an attempt to break into that area of the market poorly and even though there will be some people that will take a shot at using their stuff, inevitably it won't be sustainable because of how poor the product is.
