Nadal is going to cruise through to win this AO, Fognini was looking sharp as Hell, yet Nadal crushed him.
There is noone on his level at this AO, He'll crush Djokovic too, as Nadal won't just fold the way Zverev does.
Medvedev isn't playing well, Rublev is Nadal's whipping boy, Tsitsipas is just another fragile X syndrome patient like Zverev and will crumble as usual.

Worst AO ever...

The more matches I watch, the clearer it becomes why these guys keep winning. They know how to win. They are confident they're going to eventually come out on top against anyone who isn't one of the Big 3.

This confidence is born out of the knowledge that almost irregardless of how poor they play, the younger players will ALWAYS give them multiple chances to win. The big moments will be too big for them, the tense moments will make them shrink. If you're down, if you are playing poorly, if you've been broken, these guys will hand opportunities for you to climb back in and win a set, and likely the match. The youngsters have no ability to stomp down on close matches, to take the openings that the old guard give them and put them down. The USO 2020 final was ample evidence of this, with no members of the Big 3, we had two guys who kept trying to give the match to each other as neither could take charge, push to win - eventually somebody (Theim) stumbled onto the podium.

Here we see it again. Zverev could have grabbed this third set, Djokovic tried to give it to him a few times, but Zverev always gave it back. Novak's been here before, he's seen this dance, he knows that as long as he hangs around the other guy will probably throw him yet another bone and if he can pull himself together for a bit, he'll win a close set.

Don't get me wrong, the Big 3 is great and hard to beat, but the younger generation sure is helping them stay around.

Maybe Karatsev, being someone who hasn't gone through this will whistle along obviously to the reality that the youngsters have created for themselves and do something novel. I think I'm done watching this, pretty sure this current match will turn out like all the others...

Fognini LOL.

Lucky for you I can't find the talking with hands emoticon
He’s such a fraud and unlikable person I don’t understand it either. I predict his wife will leave him within the next 5 years.
Strangely, he'd be far more likeable if he just embraced his inner unstable Balkanoid, and didn't try to fake this cringey nice stuff, love hearts etc.
He can be genuinely funny, and is clearly a very bright guy, his rage attacks only come across badly because they are so nakedly incongruent with the "Guru of Love & Serenity" schtick he pushes. If he was just at peace with being a happy one minute/rageaholic the next, like Goran, and stopped the acting and fakery, people would like him

You never know what you will get with Zverev. This time he had a sequence of stunning points to break, not an obvious gift from Novak.

What a dips..... this chump holds serve twice in first two service games of the 4th.
His team should tell Zev if he loses you lose one of your gold chain necklaces & be forced to live near a war zone & learn to battle & survive.

It's a difference in personality and temperament, but Djokovic smashes way more rackets than Fed (I only recall 1 or 2 times) and Rafa (never?) and that ofc doesn't help with his popularity
