Double break rafaaaaaaa
Wait, are my compatriot, ma'am??I'm surprised Amazon Prime is not available in the USA. In the UK, we can choose to watch whatever we want through all the rounds, male and female including doubles. The replay of every match is also available and we can save some in out own personal file if we choose.
Is TennisTV not available in America? That's also available here on subscription.
He’s right on that one, though. Not his fault for sure, but the field was certainly worse than usual that tournament. Novak didn’t impress me too much either with his level, and it showed once he faced a decent opponent in Tsitsipas at RG.
Yeah, it’s easily explainable. Lots of players were either AWOL or out of rhythm, there’s really not much anyone can do with that.Yeah, but come on, everyone was coming out of a pandemic, the whole season was just a hot mess, just so we got some tennis in. This year, we have come back to normal.
Come on man! Then he would beat everyoneIf Opelka had a backhand and a decent return of serve this could be a half interesting match.
Even their second serve would absolutely petrify me.Man, I can’t even imagine playing full matches against guys with those kinds of serves. Must be super annoying on return.
The best thing of being a recreational player as me, is that you never find those types of players.Man, I can’t even imagine playing full matches against guys with those kinds of serves. Must be super annoying on return.
Lol what are you talking about. That would be closest to the perfect tennis player ever. He would hardly lose to anyone ever.If Opelka had a backhand and a decent return of serve this could be a half interesting match.
You seem not to talk about topology.People seem to forget that scientific progress is still going on. I'm pretty sure the next frontier for tennis is neurological. I expect the sport to be revolutionized by technologies that increase focus and tackle the subconscious mind (scientifically, not energy pyramidally).
To be fair it’s been half a year since we’ve had one of thoseMan, going into Friday I was really excited about this tournament. We'd had some really good matches and the seeds were mostly holding. But after everything it seems like we're just due for yet another Rafa/Novak final.
True dat. It's like if Djokovic plays Nadal tomorrow I'd give anything for him to have Opelka's serve and forehand, even just for that one match haha.Lol what are you talking about. That would be closest to the perfect tennis player ever. He would hardly lose to anyone ever.

Question is, can he get over his mental problems as well.
I would say Novak has a real shot tomorrow. It will be a brutal 3 set battle. No idea who wins. How's Rafa playing guys/looking like he will have energy tmrw?
Rafole over anythingMan, going into Friday I was really excited about this tournament. We'd had some really good matches and the seeds were mostly holding. But after everything it seems like we're just due for yet another Rafa/Novak final.
Don’t sleep on SonegoMan, going into Friday I was really excited about this tournament. We'd had some really good matches and the seeds were mostly holding. But after everything it seems like we're just due for yet another Rafa/Novak final.
Yeah...Thanks to Tsitsipas and his non-existent mentality.Man, going into Friday I was really excited about this tournament. We'd had some really good matches and the seeds were mostly holding. But after everything it seems like we're just due for yet another Rafa/Novak final.
Bedfordshire.Wait, are my compatriot, ma'am??
That's so cool. I'm a suffolkian, wbu??
When was the last time you saw Nadal looking tired on a clay court? I honestly don't ever recall it happening.Lol what? Dude is abt to be 35 and had a draw from hell.

His biggest mental problems are against Djokovic.Rome 2021 was actually one of Nadal most clutch tournaments recently.
Hmm, in Monte Carlo this year? When was the last time you saw Nadal looking tired on a clay court? I honestly don't ever recall it happening.

Just because Nadal beat Novak once in straights in RG 2020, people think it will always happen that way. It's like saying Novak will always beat Nadal the same way as he did in AO 2019. Odd matches always happen but they are never the norm.
Now I don't know if Nadal-Novak will meet in the SF or the final in RG. Regardless one of them will win RG. And if Novak beats Nadal tomorrow he might have a shot of doing the unthinkable in Paris...
Tsitsipas still has a better mentality than most of his cohorts. It was no worse to me than Shapo, Sinner and Zverev's losses to Nadal this week. You just care about Tsitsipas because he played Djokovic.Yeah...Thanks to Tsitsipas and his non-existent mentality.
Tfw you face Nadal on clay
Rustdal, that's all.Hmm, in Monte Carlo this year?

Does that surprise you? I hope you didn't buy in the next gen hype being better than Novak? If Novak plays his A game on clay, only one player can beat him.Man, going into Friday I was really excited about this tournament. We'd had some really good matches and the seeds were mostly holding. Ned also had a really easy draw, but I think his level was overall more impressive. He was routinely dishing out bagels and breadsticks and had basically just one poor set, that being the second set of the final. He had an easy draw, but he handled that easy draw exactly the way he should have handled it. If he was genuinely having problems closing out guys like Verdasco or Tsitsipas, there’d be an issue, but he beat them quite easily. Is that any different from 2019 Rome for Nadal? Mug after mug and a dead tired Djokovic in the final.
His level wasn't impressive either, half decent Thiem done after two sets in the RG final and that was it.
Shapovalov also choked hard. But Zverev? Not comparable to Tsitsipas choking like that.Tsitsipas still has a better mentality than most of his cohorts. It was no worse to me than Shapo, Sinner and Zverev's losses to Nadal this week. You just care about Tsitsipas because he played Djokovic.

Oh my god!!Bedfordshire.
I agree. It is really bad luck for Novak. He has been screwed with the schedule.Let's see if he gets through tonight first, and keep in mind he would have done double duty and have less time to recover before playing Nadal, so everything in Nadal's favor should that match take place.

Djokovic looked a bit more vulnerable throughout his run with that first set against Krajinovic and the Koepfer match. Didn’t look as clinical. As I said, though, neither draw looked impressive.
And Lord knows how many more clay Masters he'd have.Does that surprise you? I hope you didn't buy in the next gen hype being better than Novak? If Novak plays his A game on clay, only one player can beat him.
Novak is unlucky to have Nadal at RG. In any other era he would have won 2 to 3 French Opens at least. He is clearly the 2nd best clay courter of this era.
