Here are some of my other replies to that question.
why do you have 12 racquets?
To play tennis with? I usually keep 6 strung at 58, 2 at 56, 2 at 60, 1 at 62, 1 at 64.
ALU lasts me about 2 hours provided my partner can thump. In tournaments I change racquets every set, then use them up the rest of the way in practice. For tournament play I would really like to have 16+, because if I go deep into the draws I am cutting out strings that may still have an hour or more of play left in them.

Are you a semi-pro or pro player becuase most professional players dont take 12 rackets to a match. Most take around 6, why do you need 12. Also how the HELL do you break ALU in 2 hours...
Pros have six or so racquets strung a day, for practice, or play, and the ones they don't use still get the strings cut out and restrung the next day.
I don't have that luxury.
Pros know who they are playing and what the weather is going to be like before they have their racquets strung for a match.
I don't have that luxury.
So, I keep a variety of tensions in my bag, and for a tournament, I try to have enough racquets strung to get deep into the draw (Power of positive thinking)
I mean figure in the outdoor season, I will be stringing 5+ racquets a week.
And if you use a new racquet every set in a tournament, then you could find yourself out of racquets in a hurry, and have to be cutting out strings that still have life in them.
I could play with 5 in the winter, I could play with 8 socially, but for tournament play, without the luxury of same day stringing, or the money to spend, I really would like 16+ for travel tournament play.
In my 2007 tennis budget, I figure to string 250+ racquets.
I will break ALU within a 2 hour hitting session with a good partner, not in 2 hours of match play.
