Hopefully he doesn't crash and injure himself. If I was an athelete who depended on remaining injury free, I wouldn't do stupid things like getting on a motorcycle or car racing. Plenty of time to do that later after retirement.
He probably has 2-point (or lap) seat belt. A 3-point would be safer, but I'm not sure it's required.
