95+, Arm Friendly, S&V Racquets

Need 95+ headsize, arm friendly, that works alright with S&V (especially serve).

I've read other threads and assembled the following list. Please feel free to RANK these or add to the list that I should try. Arm Friendly & Headsize (large sweetspot) are the most important factors. Thank you.

hmm.. the princes have a larger sweetspot due to the o3 tech, but also a muted feel as well. and they still are pretty stiff.

the fischer m pro 98 sl or ul however, are considerably much more comforting, as they have an extremely low flex, the SL having one of 58 RA.
problem is, they are not exactly your everyday power sticks.

I'd throw the K95 on that list.

Better than the Fischer, Princes, and the Yonex in my opinion.

I played the Yonex RDS 002 Tour for a while and that thing seemed to be built from the ground up for the sole purpose of serve and volley play. I'd put this one ahead of the RQiS 1 Tour for that sort of work just because it's heavier, quite headlight, and can pop a nicer volley for me - I found the RQiS to be really cozy at the baseline.

On the arm friendly front, you've got to put the Volkl C10 on the short list. This frame is an excellent flexible alternative to a stiffer S&V standout like my old 6.1 Classics. The TW edition of the Donnay Pro One has exceptional touch and control even though it's power is on the mild side. It can work well for an avid net crasher and I think it is also especially easy on the arm.

Maybe the Dunlop Aerogel 300 Tour (the 16x18 version).
98" , 320mm balance , 320 gr weight strung , 63 RA.

The 200 might be just as good since you want to play S&V, as it is somewhat heavier.

Have you given any thought to any of the Radicals? They are known to be some of the most arm friendly frames around. My currrent frame (Head LM Rad MP) is a great all court frame at 98 sq in. Its also a great platform for customization...

This would be my list. But i havnt played with most of the others

Pk 5g works well as an allround frame. SOme people say they didnt serve well with it but I felt I served very well with it. It is also maybe one of the best frames for arm health.
Volkl frames I feel are generally good for S&V style. I liked the Tour 10 gen 2 alot.
VE mid is better for S&V but it is smaller than 95.

Babolat Pure Storm Ltd. - solid, consistent serves, maneuverable for volleys, pretty solid on groundies, especially with a little lead.

^^ that racket is 93 sq in. go for the pure storm tour or just pure storm. the tour is just slightly heavier, both are 98 sq in and are awesome

You will think I am on drugs for saying it.. But as I have demoed everything in the last 2 years.. The Babolat Aero Storm Tour 320g is a great frame to even just demo and try!

Personally I like the M Comp 95 for volleys. I used it today and hit with my pro and it is like butter anywhere but especially at the net. It had Gamma Live Wire @ 60#.

The Yonex RDS 001 Mid and MP are very good S&V frames.

If your arm is sensitive or experiencing any current pain, the PK 5g is simply the best choice. Not only is it good at the net, it is probably one of the best all-court frames made. Not great at any one thing, just very good at all aspects of the game. And it protects your arm and shoulder. The Ki5 is not bad, but it seems a bit more stiff and harsh than the 5g.

Like netman recommended...the RDS001 mid would be a good choice. I actually like the older version of the RDS001.

The Becker 11 mid, on the other hand, was a little more stable when you would have to stay at the baseline when returning. Serves were really nice w/ this stick.

Volkl Tour 9 V-Engine (18x20). This racquet makes it very easy to generate pace and spin on the serve, and is also very stable on the volley - even off-center. Touch on volleys is also top notch, and slice groundstrokes for chipping and charging are easy to pull off from both wings (if you have a slice forehand...). Overheads are a snap because of the light swingweight.

I've been playing with the racquet for 4 months, and no, I'm not selling them in the swap shop. ;-)

Aerogel 300 16x18. Good serving racket, good feel, solid volleys. Most of all, very maneuverable at the net.

The Fischer Mpro 105 is amazingly soft and great for the arm, but I find mine to be a bit lacking in control.

I am now looking at the Magnetic Tour - 57 flex, 100sq inch, 22mm straight beam. Should be as comfy but considerably lower powered than the Mpro 105.

I haven't seen a single racket over 95 Sq in that is a GREAT S&V racket. You just lose too much touch with that bigger head.

Vote number 3 for the C10. You won't find a more arm friendly frame around. It is like an old tennis shoe....comfy.

I've heard good things on the PK Kinetics too, just don't have any experience with them.

How arm-friendly is the K95?

I recall the PSC 6.1 and although a great frame... it was far from arm-friendly.
