XXXL and XXXXL sizes

Where can I get tennis clothing in 3XL and 4XL sizes? I wish TW realized that big people play tennis too, some with the goal of becoming smaller!!

Not tennis specific, but I often see general athletic stuff at Marshalls/TJ Maxx in such sizes in the big and tall section.

If you are looking for Federer/Nadal outfits, you will struggle to find them obviously, but if you just want some good athletic breathable shorts/shirt, or a nice poly golf polo you should be able to find something you like.

Wow. What a helpful suggestion. Did your mother teach you to talk like that, or are you just a natural?
One reason I play tennis is for my health, Mr. Helpful. Your suggestion is like a bank reviewing a loan application, or an insurance compnay reviewing an application for health insurance: if you don't need the monetty or the insurance, they're glad for your business. Otherwise, hit the road.
Why is it that exercise clothing companies assume that the only people interetsed in exercise clothes are the people least likely to really need it? Because they have people like this south end of a northbound jackass working for them.

Yeah, the biggest they make for Nike Tennis specific clothing is XXL. IMO Adidas seems to run a little big. For example, I wear a medium in Nike and a small in adidas fits similar to it. You may have similar luck on the sizing like that, but do not quote me on it!

Adidas does indeed make clothes in 3X. Thanks.

Thank you!

I put 120mphBodyServe on my ignore list. I do not need the feedback from jerks. Nor does tennis benefit from having them in the game. These are the kind of folks people flock around at the club, and then talk about behind their back once they leave the room.

please tell me you didn't think that was really clever and witty answer

It wasn't funny at all. This ass has no idea of my health condition or anything. Cleverness and witticisms are best delivered from a modicum of knowledge. All this guy showed was his bad breeding.

seriously you have got to chill.
do you realize how many teens there are on these forums, including me.
If you ask about 4xl of course some person is going to dis you.
if you didnt think anyone would you are an idiot.
I would side with you if you didnt trash him in 4 posts.

Check out fila, blake's clothes seem extremely big.
also, you could just wear regular clothes.
I sometimes do that if I ran out of my tennis shirts.

Dude, also, have you looked and seen what sizes golf stuff comes in?

Just a thought.

Golf shirts are usually even nicer than the tennis stuff, and the same breathable material. Then just a normal set of athletic shorts and you are golden. Unless you prefer crews, then you can just get normal training clothes.

They absolutely make training stuff in 3 and 4x. For all I know you could be a former football player, who decided to switch to a sport where your opponent isn't trying to kill you.

Wow....
I guess because this person has me on ignore, I can't enquire to the state of their health etc etc...
Oh well.

You wouldn't have to inquire about his health if you hadn't been such a tool with that comment in the first place. Think before you say something like that, it is a basic human sentiment.

Just because you are young, and thin does not mean that everyone is like you. Time is the ultimate equalizer though, and karma is what it is. Might wanna consider that right?

I applaud the guy for getting out and moving about the court no matter his size. Hell, how else will he fit your model of what a tennis player is supposed to look like (and yes I am being sarcastic).

OP,

Jolly's suggesting about golf shops is key. They make the dri-fit golf shirts in some very large sizes. Also casual male XL is a store that caters to lager guys and I have seen them in their before also.

It was just a simple suggestion/question.
The guy could've told me a bit more about his situation before going ahead and making a short sighted character assessment...
And maybe if he wasn't so lazy he might have already found some athletic clothes for "big" people if he had did a simple search on google???
Why the hell do people presume so much just from one simple question???
*shakes head*

You can shake your head all you want, but people who are over weight can't just decide to lose weight. For some it is a real struggle that cuts in to the fabric of their being.

You might not be one of those unfortunate souls, but some sensitivity wouldn't hurt. The character assessment by him was justified, you sounded rude, shallow and crass. A simple apology by you would have rectified it....but I don't see you offering that either. Still ascertain that the character assessment was wrong?

To the OP - I didn't read all the posts but I would check out something like a ***** Sporting Goods or any of the big box retailers. They normally carry a pretty broad range of sizes.

Best of luck getting back in shape, I applaud your effort. Nothing is worse than someone who refuses to try to get healthy.

Thanks to all who gave their support to me. For the record, I have found far more friendly and kind people in tennis than rude and insensitive jerks.
***** carries up to size XXL. I even asked the clerk there if ***** thought that fat people didn't need to exercise!!
Casual XL is a great suggestion. I also have the local tennis shop owner, who is also a big guy (and a tennis pro) to keep an eye out for big sizes for me.

Beeing a spoiled dumb teen isn't an excuse for bad behavior and poor manners. It isn't the first time 120mphbodyserve has shown behavior similar to this,

I just ignored him the first time and thought he was just joking around, but now I begin to see a pattern in the way he behaves in here.

WTF?! Why is everyone so mad over this post?! I've seen people called a**holes and b**** on this forum and yet I don't think I've ever seen so many people riled up over this kind of a comment.

I agree that it's rude and somewhat insensitive but still.

Now I'm not one to take sentiment, but the comment is being blown way out of proportion, and OP way overreacted. I know that some people are sensitive about certain things, but calling him him out that harshly, that fast was a little rash. I doubt he was trying to be hurtful, just a little attempt at bad humor in bad taste, that's all. I'll be honest, that kind of humor isn't exactly uncommon in society nowadays, if you think about it--learn to laugh it off.

I agree. Some guys at the club I play at are having a terrible time finding things to wear.
Try Lands End, LL Bean, Eddie Bauer. I know they carry lots of different sizes.

Can't figure out if your stupid or just an *sshole. Answer- both.
Go read your TigerBeat magazine.

TigerBeat? Never heard of it...
You ever heard of the edit button? You know, the one you press so you don't have to make posts that are 3 minutes apart??
Thanks to everybody for joining the PC (politically correct) brigade.
All I said was say, Lose some weight?
This statement was completely devoid of malaise, sarcasm or hostility or any other negative connotations you may like to adhere.
I'm about 6'2, and about 200lb(89kg) and I fit into a Large or XL just fine.
Thanks people!!!!

I agree. Sure, it was a jibe, but far worse is done here hourly. It was a mildly funny jibe at that.

Anyone who couldn't take that joke....well.....and yes, the OP SHOULD take his advice and lighten up....literally, at least he's out there trying to play tennis, so give him credit for that! And yes, obesity IS a choice, 99% of the time.

I completely agree. Sure, it was a slightly insensitive comment, but unless you're really tall and a body-builder, you probably should lose some weight. If you were really upset about the comment, you should of just ignored it (instead of freaking out) and be the bigger man in the situation (pun intended).

Well I'm fat too, I love to cook and eat so I really don't care. But I agree. there needs to be bigger sizes for those who wants to play and lose some weight.

I'm 5'8" 200lbs, used to be 160lbs. But who cares right?, I love food and eating. lol

LOL. Now that's a fat man I can respect! Owns up and says he likes to eat, fair enough! I'd work with, play tennis with, hang out with, a straight-up guy like this.

I'm with you on more XXL and XXXL sizes. I'm 6'4" ~230#, built like a football player (which I was in college). Big legs, big booty. Even XXL in some brands like ST, Diadora, Lotto feel like XL and look like biking shorts on me. That leaves me with Nike (which I refuse to wear), Adidas and Under Armour, which is why I pretty much just wear my Patagonia trailrunning/hiking shorts while playing.

Hey, I'm a big guy too and I would also love to see more 3 and 4X tennis clothing. I have an additional caveat: How about 3 and 4XLT, since I'm 6'6" I have found some great workpout clothing at Casual Male XL--I believe they carry a line of Reebok dri-fit type shirts and shorts. Just another idea, I wear adidas tennis shorts in 2X but am unable to wear their shirts in the same size.

Now, how about from freakin' size 17 tennis shoes, too. I love my Barricade V's but sometimes they kill my feet. Largest size they make them is 16. Thaty seems to be about the norm for all performance tennis shoes. I did notice that LaCoste makes size 17's...

I know what you mean with the shoes. I really wish TW would carry more of those 2E.

Unfortunately we can't react to this request immediately as apparel is booked out far in advance.

We will add some XXXL sizes on our next adidas order. That would be a March, 2010 delivery.

I have had some luck at the Adidas , Reebok, and Nike outlet stores. They usually have a few highly discounted XXL,XXXL, etc. I just got some warm ups, sweat pants and quick dry shirts all in XXL and XXXL. Reebok usually has some XXXXL and higher items. I have only seen as highas XXXL in Adidas.

Fat IS stupid. It's robbing your brain of valuable oxygenated blood.

Obesity is not 99% of the time choice. It can be numerous disorders, starting with the Thyroid and pituitary. It can be a predisposed nurtured lifestyle, brought on by ones environment and parents.

Fat is not stupid, fat is fat, stupid is as stupid does. :)

Under Armor makes some *very* nice golf shirts in lightweight, wicking fabric that look a lot like the Lacoste tennis polos. U/A does have larger sizes, too.
