I'll take my own bait...
1. Dementieva - Model quality. Only bad pics are the ones that look like Napoleon Dynamite
2. Wozniacki - No major flaws, IMHO. "Prettiest girl next door".
3. S. Williams - T&A in spades
4. Jankovic - Body and fashion flair make up for "Easter Island face" negatives
5. Azarenka - Nose & jaw-line are too distracting. Lack of curves.
6. V. Williams - Largest "ranking" pendulum swing from good pics to bad pics
7. Safina - Make-up only makes it worse
8. Kuznetsova - See #7

Kuznetsova the only one I really think is 'normal girl' ugly. Safina's ok depending on the light, IMO.

That schnoz on Kuznetsova is a dealbreaker. It's way worse than Azarenka's. And Safina isn't that bad looking to me either. I'd say she's about a 7 on a good day. It's her personality and on court temperment that makes her seem uglier, but actually in interviews she can come off as shy and, dare I say, cute at times. Like these clips for example.

This thread just took an interesting turn.
Venus is really fine in person. Even in workout clothes / sans make-up and extensions.
Serena is not for everyone. You've got to be very, very larrge, strong and manly to be with her. She probably scares some dudes (especially in tennis circles).
Larry, it is not the color of their skin. It's Venus' resemblance to her father in the face. It's not the color of Serena's flesh. It's the volume of it.
But, overall, I think it's just too easy to try to be all pithy and funny when a large black lady's picture is up on a forum. Pretty weak if you ask me.
But I'm biased: I'd take Serena or Venus any day over Kuznetsova or Safina. No question.
Oh, and back to skin color for a minute, I think a thin, hot-looking black model-type would be completely salivated-over here. Even a halfwaydecent-looking young black girl with a Eurocentric figure would get a TON of messageboard love. Can you imagine if Meg (who aced you) or Panterka were African American? They'd have just as much a following here, I think. Is that true?
